Why dried berries from Keimling are a sensible addition to your diet
During the drying process, a significant proportion of the naturally stored water is removed from our high-quality organic fruit. This preserves them and intensifies their flavour. Depending on the variety, they still naturally contain fibre, vitamins and phytochemicals. Dried berries are no substitute for fresh fruit, but they are a tasty, practical and nutritious addition to everyday life. They are ready for immediate use and easy to store, ideal for conscious stockpiling.
Many of our customers use them:
- In muesli or porridge
- In smoothies
- In raw food recipes
- As an ingredient in energy balls
- Or pure as a snack (try the mulberry or physalis - incredibly tasty!)
Our berries in detail
Each Keimling variety has its own character, in terms of flavour and texture.
Goji berries - fruity with a subtle tart flavour
Our goji berries are gently dried and therefore retain a pleasantly soft consistency. They have a slightly sweet flavour with a subtle tart note. Many feedbacks describe exactly this quality: "I order them regularly - they are nice and soft and not as hard as others." Goji berries naturally contain vitamin C, which contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system as part of a varied, balanced diet. They can be used directly, without soaking, and go well in breakfast or in nut mixes.
Mulberries - naturally sweet, without additives
Mulberries are one of the mildest dried berries. Their flavour is soft, slightly caramelised and naturally sweet, without any added sugar. A typical customer feedback: "For me, the best alternative to sweets - pleasantly sweet and yet natural." Their soft consistency makes them particularly suitable for raw food bars or as a natural sweetener in muesli. They naturally contain fibre and can be combined in a variety of ways.
Wild blueberries - intense flavour
Wild blueberries are smaller than cultivated blueberries and have a stronger flavour. When freeze-dried, they develop a concentrated, slightly tart flavour. Customers often emphasise the difference: "You can tell straight away that they are wild blueberries - very aromatic." They naturally contain potassium, calcium, iron, vitamin E and secondary plant substances that are typical of dark berries. They are particularly popular in smoothie bowls or for breakfast.
Aronia berries - distinctive and full of character
Aronia has a distinctly tart flavour. Many people therefore use them in combination with sweeter dried fruits. One customer writes: "I particularly like them mixed with mulberries or in muesli." Aronia berries naturally contain fibre and add depth of flavour to muesli mixes or raw food doughs.
Physalis - balanced sweetness and acidity
Dried physalis have a pleasant balance of sweetness and acidity and are soft to the bite. From the reviews: "Just right - not too sweet and nice and fruity." They go well in salads, in nut mixes or as a snack between meals.
Sultanas - juicy and versatile
Sultanas are dried grapes with a natural sweetness. Our variant remains pleasantly soft thanks to gentle drying. Customers often write: "Very juicy and flavourful - not dry." Sultanas naturally contain potassium, which contributes to normal muscle function - as part of a balanced diet. They are ideal for muesli, raw baked goods or homemade energy balls.
Pomegranate seeds - fruity, delicately tart, pleasantly intense
Dried pomegranate seeds add a special flavour nuance to this category. Unlike fresh seeds, they are firmer in structure and significantly more concentrated in flavour due to the gentle drying process. Their flavour is fruity with a clear, slightly sour note. This is exactly what is often described in customer reviews: "Pleasantly fruity with a nice acidity - perfect for breakfast.".
Thanks to their firm, slightly crunchy texture, pomegranate seeds also remain stable in blends. They are particularly suitable as a topping for muesli or porridge, in nut and seed mixes, in salads as a fruity contrast or in raw food recipes for more texture.
Strawberries - intense fruit flavour
Dried strawberries offer an intense strawberry flavour. In contrast to freeze-dried fruit, they are soft and have a smooth texture. A typical review: "The flavour is amazingly intense." They are ideal as a topping or as a small portion of fruit between meals - without artificial additives.
Cranberries - fruity with a fine acidity
Cranberries are characterised by their fresh tartness. Our cranberries are natural and sweetened with apple juice concentrate - naturally without refined sugar. Customers often describe them as: "Perfect in salads or together with nuts." They bring flavourful variety to sweet and savoury dishes.
