The tart, refreshing goji berries are particularly popular as a protein and fibre-rich energy boost for your morning muesli. But goji berries also add a delicious touch to homemade power bars, muffins or salads. Many people even love them on their own: the dried fruits crunch slightly and tingle on the tongue - delicious!

Residue-controlled from organic cultivation

So that you can Keimling goji berries, our growers from the sunny Chinese highlands adhere to the particularly strict criteria of European organic farming. The use of pesticides, herbicides or even genetic engineering is taboo for our suppliers. Regular residue checks in EU laboratories confirm the impeccable quality.

After harvesting, the sun-kissed berries are gently dried at temperatures below 45 °C in line with raw food standards and packaged without additional sulphurisation*. Thanks to the perfect degree of drying, the goji berries do not stick together and have a slight crunchy effect. Our manufacturer's many years of experience ensure the highest level of dried fruit enjoyment. See for yourself!

What do goji berries actually taste like?
The flavour of the small red berries has its very own character and is difficult to put into words, especially if you are looking for a comparison with other better-known fruits. In any case, an incomparable flavour experience! Here at Keimling Naturkost, the characteristics are emphasised in different ways: some emphasise the pleasant sweetness - others the slightly tart taste. In any case, the small vitamin-rich berry is always described as pleasantly fruity!
Where does the goji berry originally come from?
The oldest mention of the goji berry is documented by finds from Asia dating back around 4600 years. The Greek physician Dioscurides mentioned goji in the first century AD in his work
Which recipes are recommended for goji berries?
You can use our raw goji berries in a variety of ways. Once you've acquired a taste for this little berry, you won't want to be without it: Try an animal protein-free lubricator according to Christian Opitz with a few goji berries, plus water, hemp seeds and coconut puree and you have a power kick for the start of the day. Simply mix goji berries with a nut mix as a snack for the day. The small red berries are also delicious mixed into your breakfast muesli or simply enjoyed on their own. And if you fancy more, prepare energy bars with cocoa butter and amaranth. A truly versatile berry.
Can I really make goji tea with goji berries?
Making tea from goji berries is very easy and doesn't really require a ready-made mixture in a tea bag. To avoid destroying the berries' vital substances through excessive heat, soak the berries in cold water for approx. 20 minutes and then pour water at a maximum temperature of 40 °C over them. After a further 5 minutes you can enjoy your tea! Don't forget to eat the berries after drinking, as they still contain many nutrients. You need about one teaspoon of goji berries for a cup of 0.2 litres of tea. If you like, the tea can be sweetened with a little apple or agave syrup.
