Kale crisps
A healthy, seasonal snack that won't just tempt kale fans out from behind the dehydrator

Ingredients:

500 g fresh kale
200 g cedar kernels
200 ml water
1-2 dates
1-2 tsp salt
coloured pepper to taste

Preparation:

Wash the kale, remove the coarse stems and pluck finely. Make a thick marinade from the remaining ingredients using a blender. The marinade is then literally massaged into the kale leaves so that the leaves absorb as much of it as possible and the flavour and consistency of the chips match.

The marinated kale is now placed in the dehydrator and left there at 42°C for approx. 4 - 8 hours, depending on the dehydrator used, or until the crisps are completely dry and crispy.

Kale soup
For a good boost of fibre, iron and minerals

Ingredients:

Ingredients for 3 people
2 cups of filtered water
5 kale leaves without stalk
2 tomatoes
½ cucumber
2 tablespoons lime juice
2-3 cloves of garlic
1 tsp Himalayan salt
1 pinch of cayenne pepper (to taste)
1 small avocado
1 pinch of chilli powder
1 red chilli pepper
Freshly ground pepper

Preparation:

Roughly chop the vegetables and place in the blender with the other ingredients. Select the soup programme and start the blender. Within the next few minutes, the blender will process the ingredients into a deliciously creamy, hot soup. When the soup is ready, pour into bowls and serve with diced paprika and freshly ground pepper.

Tip: For a raw food version of this delicious soup, select the programme for smoothies.

Green smoothie with kale and orange
Raw kale treat, for on the go or at home

Ingredients:

2 oranges
2 handfuls of kale
1-2 TSP Keimling agave syrup
½ TSP Keimling organic spirulina
Ginger to taste
300 ml water

Preparation:

Firstly, peel the oranges and place them in your blender jug. The oranges can remain whole. Now remove the thick leaf stalks from the kale and place the leaves in the blender jug with the remaining ingredients. Start the blending process at low speed and keep increasing the speed until you reach the turbo setting. After approx. 30 - 45 seconds, your green smoothie is ready to enjoy!

Tip: Instead of kale, you can also use other green leafy vegetables such as spinach, chard or postelein for this recipe. Be creative and try adding herbs to the ingredients used above. A hint of fresh peppermint, for example, gives the smoothie a real kick of freshness and provides additional vital nutrients.
