Raw food chia sauerkraut crackers

The leaves of white cabbage naturally contain lactic acid bacteria, which are activated when chopped and stored at a lukewarm temperature. Together with a little salt, a natural fermentation process produces juicy sauerkraut in raw food quality. This is the perfect ingredient for our delicately flavoured sauerkraut crackers.

Delicately spicy and savoury: our chia sauerkraut crackers

All the ingredients for our sauerkraut crackers (apart from salt) are cultivated using purely organic farming methods. Gentle harvesting and processing as well as drying at less than 45 °C guarantees you real raw food quality. It goes without saying that we do not use any additives or preservatives in these natural crackers. What remains is the wonderful natural, aromatic flavour! The crackers are an ideal snack topped with fine spreads, avocado cream and vegetables or cashew cheese. You can use them to make savoury sandwiches on the go, but you can also nibble them on their own or enjoy them with dips.

How is the sauerkraut for the chia sauerkraut crackers made?
Organically grown white cabbage is harvested and cut into fine strips. The fermentation process is set in motion by adding sea salt. After a layer of white cabbage, salt is added and the contents of the container are tamped until liquid is released from the white cabbage. This process continues until the container is full. Fermentation begins at low ambient temperatures and is completed after about four weeks. The sauerkraut is now ready for further processing in our raw chia sauerkraut crackers.
What gives the chia sauerkraut crackers their savoury taste?
As with all raw food products that consist of several components, flavour comes from the composition of the ingredients used. It is not always possible to say with certainty which ingredient dominates. In the raw food chia sauerkraut crackers, we have chosen sauerkraut, chia, caraway, onions and dill as vital ingredients with a spicy character. Combined with the mild flavours of almonds, buckwheat, linseed, sunflower seeds, carrots and salt, the result is a unique taste that goes well with more than just a vegetable sandwich.
I have an intolerance to certain grains, such as wheat, which contains gluten. Are the raw food chia sauerkraut crackers gluten-free?
Raw Chia Sauerkraut Crackers do not contain wheat and are free from other grains. The buckwheat used is not a grain, but a knotweed plant. Buckwheat has a pleasant nutty flavour and contains valuable nutrients. The buckwheat we use is raw and tastes delicious. It goes without saying that the buckwheat we use is organically grown, as are all the plant-based ingredients in our raw chia sauerkraut crackers.
How much milk protein is contained in the raw chia sauerkraut crackers?
You can see from our product information that the raw food chia sauerkraut crackers do not contain any milk protein. Your question means that you are equating almond milk made from almonds with milk of animal origin. Almonds and almond milk are purely plant-based products. Almonds do not contain lactose or milk protein. Milk of animal origin is a food for animal children.
