Green Peter Smoothie

- 1 handful of raspberries
- 3 cm long ginger root
- 1 bunch of parsley
- 1 apple
- 150 ml cold water
Parsley, also affectionately known as Peterli or Peterle, is a widely used culinary herb. The plant is thought to have originated in the Mediterranean region. Parsley is available in a flat or curly form. Most people buy parsley fresh in herb pots. This is then quickly cut down and promptly disposed of. But wait, if you are patient and give parsley some time, you will also get a second round of the aromatic herb. If you give the parsley more space than just a small pot, a white root, similar to a carrot, will form underneath the soil.
Preparation:
For vegan quality, remove any small animals from the raspberries and place in the Vitamix. Peel the ginger bulb and add to the raspberries. Rinse the apple and the bunch of parsley with water. Cut the apple into quarters and roughly pluck the parsley with your hands. Mix all the ingredients with 150 ml water in a blender for approx. 1.5 minutes. Have fun with the green Peter!
Green mushroom smoothie

- 2 large mushrooms
- 1 handful of fresh spinach leaves
- 1-2 small apples
- 3 stalks of parsley
- 5-7 sage leaves
- 250 ml cold water
Preparation:
Clean the mushrooms with a mushroom brush to remove any remaining soil, cut in half and place in the Vitamix. As the spinach releases its vitamins and nutrients into the water, it is advisable to only rinse it briefly in cold water. Briefly clean the apples with water and cut into quarters. The core is pure fibre and can be mixed in. Briefly clean the parsley and sage leaves and roughly chop with your hands. Add the spinach to the Vitamix immediately after the mushrooms, followed by the apples and herbs.
Finally, pour the cold water into the blender jug over all the ingredients. Now blend everything for approx. 1.5 minutes on the highest setting. The green mushroom smoothie for all raw foodChampions is ready.
Spicy plum in a green smoothie

- 1-2 ripe large plums
- 3 cm long ginger root
- 1 handful of lamb's lettuce
- 1/2 tsp Ceylon cinnamon
- 1 juicy apple
- 6 dates
- 250 ml cold water
Plums can be enjoyed all year round. In late summer and autumn, they are available fresh on the market and the rest of the year you can fall back on the dried fruit or frozen fruit variant. 2000 different types and subspecies of plum exist, such as the mirabelle plum and the damson plum. Even though plums are rich in vitamins and minerals, they are also a great source of energy.
Preparation:
Wash the plums, divide and remove the stone. Peel the ginger. Clean the lamb's lettuce briefly and thoroughly in cold water. Lamb's lettuce is similar to spinach. Cleaning it in water for too long removes the vitamins and minerals. Cut the clean apple into quarters. Pit the dates and cut into pieces approx. 2 cm long. Add all the ingredients to the Vitamix put into the blender. Place the dates at the top with the cinnamon. Pour in 250 ml cold water and blend for 2 minutes on the highest setting.
Delicious, spicy! Perfect for the cold season.

After removing the stalk, put the tomato pieces into the Vitamix put the tomato pieces in the bowl. Place the cleaned basil stalks roughly chopped with the clean purslane on top of the tomatoes. Now wash the apples, cut into quarters and also place in the Vitamix with the remaining ingredients. Pour 200 ml cold water over everything and blend for a good 2 minutes. Enjoy your meal!

Broccoli, also known as Italian asparagus, is mainly grown in the western Mediterranean countries. Home-grown broccoli is also available here in Germany between June and October. If you grow broccoli yourself, you can also harvest the smaller leaves and eat them raw or cooked.

Remove the peel from the ripe banana and add to the blender jug together with the quartered Sharon fruit. Pour in approx. 150 ml cold soya milk. Pineapple, cucumber and chia smoothie
This admittedly very delicate green smoothie tastes wonderfully refreshing and can be enjoyed as a summer breakfast on warm days! Cucumber and pineapple pieces provide plenty of refreshing juice, which is thickened slightly thanks to the chia seeds. The latter also help to keep you full for a long time.
Cucumbers belong to the pumpkin family. They like it warm and therefore only grow outdoors in this country during the summer months - around June to September. Although they are also available during the rest of the year, either grown in greenhouses or imported from more southerly climes, they simply taste much better in summer.

- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/2 cucumber
- 2-3 slices of fresh pineapple (about 1 cup pineapple cubes)
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible).
The appliances:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie
Soak the chia seeds in water for about 10 minutes before adding them to the green smoothie. The seeds swell and form a gel-like consistency with the water, similar to jelly. This property of chia seeds also makes them an interesting ingredient for raw food cakes.
While the chia seeds are soaking, prepare the fruit. Remove the stem end of the cucumber and cut it into large cubes. Use the skin of the cucumber in the smoothie, as it contains most of the nutrients of the vegetable fruit!
Peel the pineapple slices, remove the hard centre pieces and cut the slices into cubes.
Place the diced fruit, cucumber and pineapple in the blender jug of your mixer or blender. Add the soaked chia seeds and close the blender jug tightly. Switch on the blender, quickly increase to the highest setting and blend all the ingredients into a refreshing, creamy green smoothie in 30 to 40 seconds.
Variation: For more green in this green smoothie, add a handful of wild herbs to taste.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Sun and basil in a jar
Not every green smoothie has to taste sweet. This summery, refreshing, savoury blend of cucumber, basil and sunflower seeds makes a delicious lunch or light dinner in the warmer months
Summer is the time for cucumbers! The fruits, which belong to the gourd family, are related to pumpkins, courgettes and melons, and are quite demanding when it comes to temperatures. Because cucumbers like it warm and are sensitive to frost, they are usually grown in greenhouses or foil tunnels in this country. But from June to September, the long green vegetable fruits ripen outdoors in our region too and taste more delicious than ever!
Basil is also known in German as "Königskraut". If you grow a basil plant in your garden or on your windowsill, you can harvest fresh leaves all summer long. If you cut off the tips of the shoots, the plant will not flower too early and will also branch out better and produce more leaves.

Ingredients for this green smoothie
- 4 tbsp sunflower seeds
- 1 handful of fresh basil
- 1 cucumber
- optionally a few dashes of tamari sauce
(As far as possible, always choose raw and organic ingredients for your preparations).
The appliances:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie
When preparing your green smoothie, start with the sunflower seeds. Place the seeds in the blender jug of your blender or mixer and grind them into flour. Pluck the basil leaves from the stalks and add them to the ground seeds in the blender jug. Remove the end and stem of the cucumber and chop it into large pieces. Add the pieces of vegetable fruit to the other ingredients in the blender jug
Close the blender well and switch it on. Blend all the ingredients within 30 seconds to create a smooth, creamy green smoothie. You can then flavour the smoothie to taste, e.g. with a few dashes of tamari sauce.
Enjoy the smoothie as a creamy drink or spoon it into a soup.
Tip:The green smoothie is even more filling if you also blend in half an avocado.
You can also vary the herbs used. In addition to basil, dill also goes very well with cucumber, for example. Instead of sunflower seeds, you can also try sesame seeds or tahini as sesame butter.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Green ice cream
Not every green smoothie actually looks green! What makes a smoothie "green" by definition, so to speak, are the green leaves among the ingredients. These can be lettuces, green vegetables, tree leaves, herbs or wild herbs. In any case, green edible leaves.

- 2 bananas frozen in pieces
- 2 passion fruit
- 1 handful of strawberries
- 1 handful of young, tender blackberry leaves
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible.)
The appliances:
To prepare a green smoothie, you need a powerful blender or mixer.
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie
If you don't have frozen bananas in stock, you will need to prepare them the day before. To do this, simply peel two bananas, cut the flesh into slices about one to two centimetres thick and freeze them in a suitable container or freezer bag. Bananas frozen in this form are an excellent ingredient for raw ice creams and smoothies, so it's a good idea to always have a supply of them in the freezer.
Cut the passion fruit in half and spoon the flesh with the seeds into the blender jug of your mixer or blender. Add the strawberries to the passion fruit pulp in the blender jug. You do not need to remove the small leaves from the strawberries; these leaves are also edible and are simply blended into the green smoothie.
Add the pieces of frozen banana and the blackberry leaves to the fruit and blend everything into a thick ice cream in about a minute.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Chocolate ice cream pudding in green
A green smoothie can also be like this: This chocolatey ice cream is addictive, it tastes so heavenly delicious! Raw food can taste so delicious and tempting!
Yes, this really is a green smoothie, even if it doesn't look like one. Fresh nettles guarantee this, although the colour is overlaid by the cocoa powder.
Picking the nettles is a little difficult because the leaves burn unpleasantly on the skin when touched. However, with the right grip or simple tricks, you too can enjoy fresh nettle leaves in your smoothies without any problems. Incidentally, the stinging nettle hairs are destroyed during blending, so you don't need to worry about burning your tongue when drinking your green smoothie! Harvesting the leaves is very easy if you pick the nettles either with gloves or simply with a plastic bag around your hand! Then knead the nettles lightly in the bag before taking them out - this also defuses the stinging hairs. Only pick the top one or two "tiers" of leaves at a time - firstly, these have the mildest flavour and the nettle will then form new leaves where it has been picked; secondly, you will then no longer need to chop the nettles for the smoothie.
Preparing this ice cream is very simple, but it does take a little time. Plan enough time in advance to freeze the cream. It is best to prepare the smoothie a day in advance.

Ingredients for this green smoothie
- 1/2 cup hulled hemp seeds
- 5 Medjool dates
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp carob powder
- 1 handful of nettles
- 1 banana
- 1 green kiwi
(All ingredients in raw food and organic quality, as far as possible.)
The appliances:
To prepare a green smoothie, you need a high-performance blender such as the Vitamix.
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie
Soak the Medjool dates in water before processing. Choose dates that are as juicy and soft as possible so that they don't take as long to soak. Remove the stones from the dates, cut the fruit in half and place them in a glass or small bowl. Add just enough water to cover the dates. Depending on how dry the dates are, leave them to soak for two to eight hours.
Then put the hemp seeds into the blender jug of your mixer or blender and grind them into flour. Add the cocoa powder, carob powder and soaked dates together with the soaking water to the ground hemp seeds.
Chop the nettles a little and add them to the blender jug. Then blend all the ingredients at the highest setting of your blender for about a minute until you have a thick, smooth, chocolatey cream.
Pour the chocolate cream into a frost-proof shallow plastic bowl or freezer bag and place in the freezer compartment of your fridge.
As soon as the chocolate cream has frozen hard, you can continue: Remove the frozen chocolate cream from its packaging and cut it into smaller cubes. Place the icy cubes in a high-performance blender. Peel the banana and add it to the chocolate ice cream in the blender. Switch on the blender, immediately increase to the highest setting and blend the ice cream and banana into a smooth, creamy chocolate ice cream in just under a minute.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Green smoothie cubes
Smoothie cubes? And what is that supposed to be? Quite simple: a few dry ingredients - hemp, wheatgrass and figs - are mixed into a mouldable mass for the green smoothie and then cubes are formed from them. The smoothie cubes are ready! Keep the cubes in the fridge and you will always have the basis for a green smoothie to hand, which you can prepare within a minute with the help of the smoothie cubes!

- 1/2 cup hulled hemp seeds
- 1 tbsp hemp seed powder
- 10 dried golden figs
- 1 tbsp wheatgrass powder
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup water
(All ingredients in raw food and organic quality, if possible)
The appliances:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie cubes
Firstly, place the hulled hemp seeds in the blender jug of your blender or mixer and grind them into a sticky flour. Add the hemp seed powder and wheatgrass powder to the ground hemp seeds.
Remove the hard stems from the dry golden figs, cut the figs in half and add them to the hemp and wheatgrass in the blender jug. Blend all the ingredients until a lump of dough forms. Place the dough in a bowl or on a board, knead it again vigorously with your hands and shape it into cubes. The easiest way to do this is to shape the entire dough into a flat cuboid and then cut it into even cubes with a sharp knife. The amount of ingredients given here should make about 15 cubes - enough for four to five green smoothies.
You can store these cubes in the fridge in a tightly sealed glass or plastic container for two to three weeks and always have a nutrient-rich base for a protein-rich smoothie to hand.
Of course, you can also eat the smoothie cubes just as they are.
To blend a green smoothie from the cubes, simply place three to four cubes together with half a cup of water and a peeled banana in the blender jug of your mixer or blender and blend everything into a creamy drink in just under a minute.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Green hemp smoothie
Hemp seeds are commercially available either hulled or unhulled. Unhulled hemp seeds are brown in colour and the shell is quite crunchy. When hulled, the seeds have a light, slightly greenish colour and are quite soft.
The small, nutritious seeds can be combined with both sweet and savoury dishes. In this green smoothie, they come together with fresh green herbs and courgettes to create a mildly flavoured drink that can also be enjoyed as a soup.
In this recipe, the hemp is joined by mild-tasting courgettes - which, together with the hemp seeds, give the finished green smoothie its creamy consistency - and fresh green herbs, which add both spicy flavour and valuable chlorophyll to this smoothie. Use equal amounts of fresh coriander, fresh parsley and fresh dill or mix the quantities according to your personal taste.

Ingredients for this green smoothie
- 2 tbsp peeled hemp seeds
- 1 medium courgette
- 1/2 cup of water
- a total of about 1 cup of coriander, parsley and dill
- 1 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible).
The appliances:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
Read here how to prepare the green smoothie
Place the hulled hemp seeds in the blender jug of your blender or mixer and grind them.
Of course, you can also use unpeeled hemp seeds for the green smoothie. However, grinding the hard shells leaves tiny crunchy pieces that make the smoothie a little less "smooth" - it then has a slightly crunchy touch, so to speak.
Remove the stem from the courgette and add the chopped vegetable to the ground hemp seeds in the blender jug. Also chop the fresh herbs - coriander, parsley and dill - a little, as otherwise long stems can easily wrap around the blender blades and will not be blended. Add the herbs, water and freshly squeezed lemon juice to the other ingredients in the blender jug.
Make sure your blender has a tight seal and then blend all the ingredients on the highest setting for one minute to create a creamy, flavoursome green smoothie.
Serve the smoothie in a glass or soup bowl and enjoy it in small sips.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!

Always pay attention to the ripeness and quality of your fruit when blending it in the smoothie! Only choose ripe fruit and generously cut away any spoilt parts before putting the fruit in the blender.

- 1/2 avocado
- 1/2 pear
- 1/4 - 1/2 banana
- 2 Deglet dates
- 2 golden kiwis
- 1 handful of nettles (or other wild herbs to taste)
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible).
The appliances:
You will need a high-performance blender or mixer to prepare green smoothies.
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie:
If you do not have very fresh, soft Deglet dates, it is better to soak them in water before using them in the green smoothie. Pit the dates and leave them covered in water for at least six to eight hours. The dry dates will soak up the water and become soft and juicy. However, they release a large part of their sweet flavour into the water. Therefore, only use as much water for soaking as necessary to cover the dates and add the soaking water to the smoothie!
Cut the avocado in half, remove the stone if necessary and spoon the flesh of one half of the fruit into the blender jug of your mixer or blender.
Cut the pear in half, remove the skin and core from one half and put the flesh into the blender jug.
Peel the banana and add a quarter or half to the ingredients in the blender jug.
Peel the golden kiwis and add the flesh to the avocado, pear and banana. Now add the soaked dates with the soaking water to the fruit.
Finally, add the nettles. Although you can eat the whole nettle plant, it is best to only use the top layers of the leaves and, if available, the seeds. This is because the nettle plant will stay alive, continue to grow and produce new leaves if you just carefully pluck off the top leaves instead of pulling out the whole plant.
Put the lid on your blender, switch it to the highest setting and blend all the fruit and wild herbs into a fruity, creamy green smoothie in less than a minute!
Enjoy the smoothie immediately or, if that's not possible, take it to your workplace in a tightly sealed container to enjoy a healthy, nutritious breakfast.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Orange and almond drink
The orange and almond drink is a wonderful recipe to get you started in the world of green smoothies. The combination of oranges, bananas and almonds tastes simply delicious and is also very popular with children. Start with a few leaves of Batavia lettuce and slowly increase the quantity to a head of lettuce.
Although you can also use oranges in their entirety in the smoothie, I recommend juicing the fruit for this recipe and only adding the juice to the smoothie.
Always use freshly squeezed orange juice and never use pre-packaged orange juice from the supermarket!
The basic recipe for a sweet almond drink consists of almonds, water and bananas: grind the almonds and blend them with water and banana to make a milk-like drink. In this recipe, however, I don't add any additional water as the juice from the oranges already provides enough liquid.
This green smoothie is sweet thanks to the bananas. And coconut oil makes it even more flavourful: it ensures longer-lasting satiety and also provides healthy saturated fatty acids.

Ingredients for a green smoothie
- 2 oranges
- 2 bananas
- Batavia salad
- 1/4 cup almonds
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- possibly 1 orange to decorate
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, as far as possible.)
The utensils:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie
First place the almonds in the blender jug of your blender or mixer and grind them into flour. Set the ground almonds aside and prepare the fruit for the green smoothie:
Cut the oranges in half and squeeze the juice out of the fruit using a citrus juicer. Pour the freshly squeezed orange juice into the blender jug of your blender or mixer
Peel the bananas, cut them into chunks and add them to the orange juice in the blender jug.
Add the ground almonds and coconut oil to the fruit.
Finally, add the desired amount of Batavia lettuce. Only use a few leaves for the first attempt and gradually increase the quantity. The first smoothie will hardly look green at all; the more lettuce it contains later, the greener the finished drink will be.
Make sure that the lid of your blender is securely in place and blend all the ingredients on the highest setting for 30 to 60 seconds to create a creamy green smoothie.
Serve the smoothie immediately!

Papaya and rocket smoothie
Papayas come in countless varieties - from small fruits weighing around 200g to papayas weighing up to eight kilos. Externally, the colour palette ranges from green-yellow to bright orange; the flesh is salmon-coloured to deep orange. Inside the fruit there are usually countless small, spherical black seeds. There are also fruits without seeds: these have either received little sunlight or are varieties with few seeds.
This green smoothie is green thanks to the rocket salad. The third ingredient in this recipe is brown millet.

- 500g papaya
- 1 tbsp ground brown millet
- 2 handfuls rocket (or more)
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, as far as possible).
The appliances:
You will need a blender or mixerto prepare the green smoothie .
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie
Firstly, chop the papaya a little for this smoothie. If the papaya is untreated, eat the peel as well; otherwise, remove it before putting the fruit in the blender. The seeds of the papaya are also edible. However, they taste quite sharp, which is why they are not recommended for use in smoothies, or only in very small quantities. However, you can dry the seeds in a dehydrator or in the sun and then use them like pepper.
Place the pieces of papaya in the blender jug of your mixer or blender. Add the ground brown millet. Then add as much rocket as you like.
Close the blender jug tightly and blend all the ingredients on the highest setting for around half a minute to a minute to create a deliciously creamy green smoothie.
Serve the smoothie in a nice glass & enjoy it in small sips.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Mango and walnuts with dandelion
This green smoothie, made with seasonal fruits and plants, promises autumnal indulgence.
Dandelion is probably one of the best-known wild plants. It grows almost everywhere in Germany and almost every child knows the toothed leaves and the bright yellow flower heads that bloom in spring. Although the yellow flowers fade after a short time, you can still enjoy the leaves until the onset of winter. Dandelion leaves taste quite bitter. If you don't like this flavour so much but still want to enjoy the benefits of this powerful plant, it's best to mix the leaves with sweet fruit in a green smoothie like this one:

- 1 cup mango pulp, cut into cubes
- 1 tbsp walnut puree or 10 to 12 whole walnut kernels
- 1 cup dandelion
- 1/2 cup water
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible)
The appliances:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie
Peel the mango, separate the flesh from the stone and cut it into cubes. If you are using an organically grown mango with untreated skin, you don't need to peel it. As with apples, pears and most fruits, the skin of mangoes can also be eaten.
If you are using whole walnut kernels instead of walnut purée, first put the kernels in the blender jug of your blender or mixer and grind them into flour. Then blend them a little longer until the oil comes out of the kernels.
If you are using walnut butter, simply add this to the blender jug.
Then add the diced mango to the nuts or nut butter.
Add the dandelion leaves to the ingredients in the blender jug and add water to make a drinkable green smoothie. Without water, you will get a thick cream that also tastes delicious and can be served as a dessert.
Close the blender jug tightly and blend all the ingredients on the highest setting of your blender or mixer for around 40 seconds to create a smooth, creamy green smoothie.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Rocket and date smoothie
Whether in the morning, at lunchtime or in between - this fruity green smoothie always tastes good!
Sweet Deglet dates, juicy blood orange and creamy fresh banana form the sweet, creamy base for this green smoothie.
Rocket salad adds a green colour and a sharpness to the smoothie that contrasts with the sweet taste of the fruit. There are two types of rocket: the large-leaved salad rocket, also known as rocket, with its rather mild, nutty flavour. Its leaves grow up to 15 cm long and are somewhat reminiscent of dandelions in shape. And wild rocket, also known as spicy rocket, with finer, strongly toothed leaves, which has a spicy to peppery flavour. Which variety you prefer for the smoothie is up to your taste.

- 1 banana
- 1 blood orange
- 1 tsp lucuma
- 5 deglet dates
- 1 cup rocket
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible.)
The appliances:
You will need a blender or mixerto prepare the green smoothie .
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie
Although it only takes a few minutes to prepare this green smoothie, it does require a little preparation. You need to soak the Deglet dates in water for a few hours before processing to soften them. Pit the dates, place them in a jar or small bowl and add enough water to just cover the dates. Leave the dates to soak in the water for six to eight hours - or overnight. (Soaking is not necessary if you are using very fresh, soft Deglet dates).
If you have soaked (or fresh) dates to hand, you're ready to go:
Peel the banana and place - whole or in chunks, depending on the size of your blender - into the blender jug of your mixer or blender.
Peel the blood orange, remove the coarse fibres between the segments and place the fruit in the blender jug. Depending on the size of your blender, cut the orange into larger or smaller pieces.
Add the soaked dates with the soaking water to the fruit in the blender jug. Add the lucuma powder to the fruit as well.
Finally, add the rocket to the remaining ingredients. Close the blender jug tightly and blend all the ingredients into a smooth, creamy green smoothie in just under a minute.
Enjoy the smoothie immediately or pour it into a tightly sealed container to take with you on the go, to work or to school.

Courgette, mango and chlorella drink
This is the perfect breakfast for anyone in a hurry in the morning: it only takes a few minutes to prepare.
A ripe mango should be slightly soft, but still firm and free from brown spots. The skin yields a little to light finger pressure. At first glance, however, the colour of the skin says little about the degree of ripeness, as there are red, yellow, orange and green fruits.
Chlorella algae provide the green colour for this green smoothie. These green algae, which grow in fresh water, are among the oldest plants in the world.

What you need for this green smoothie
- 1 medium courgette
- 1 medium-sized mango
- 2 chlorella pellets
(All ingredients in raw food and organic quality, as far as possible.)
The appliances:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie
Firstly, prepare all the ingredients. To do this, cut the fruit into pieces that fit well in the blender. How big or small they need to be depends on the size and performance of your blender, of course. While you can put the courgette and the two mango halves (without the peel and stone) into the blender in almost one piece, you should use the Vitamix in one piece, it is better to cut them into smaller cubes for a smaller appliance such as the Personal Blender.
Remove the stem and blossom end of the courgette and cut the courgette into coarse pieces.
Peel the mango, separate the flesh from the large flat stone in the centre of the fruit and also cut the flesh into large pieces.
Once you have prepared the fruit - the sweet fruit and the vegetable fruit - put just the two chlorella pellets into the blender jug. Grind the pellets into powder in a few seconds. Then add the pieces of courgette and mango to the chlorella powder. Close the blender jug tightly and blend all the ingredients together for around 30 to 40 seconds to create a wonderfully smooth green smoothie.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Super-fast hemp barley grass smoothie
If you're in a hurry in the morning, this is the perfect breakfast for you: Prepared in just two minutes, this green smoothie provides plenty of energy for an active day!
Hemp seeds are available both unpeeled and peeled. The unpeeled seeds are brown and crunchy, while peeled seeds are light in colour and soft. Which variant you prefer is up to you. For a very soft, smooth green smoothie, the use of hulled hemp seeds is recommended, as the ground shells of unhulled seeds are still noticeable.

- 2 tbsp hulled hemp seeds
- 1 large banana (or two bananas, for a larger portion)
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 tsp barley grass powder
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, as far as possible).
The appliances:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie
Place the hulled hemp seeds in the blender jug of your blender or mixer and grind them into flour. Squeeze the juice from the lemon and add it to the ground hemp seeds in the blender jug. Peel the banana and add it to the blender jug. Now add a teaspoon of barley grass powder and half a cup of water. Close the blender jug and blend all the ingredients into a smooth, creamy drink within 30 to 40 seconds - your green smoothie is ready!
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Falafel smoothie
This drinkable falafel dish is a highly nutritious green smoothie that makes an excellent lunchtime snack.
Whether you enjoy the green smoothie from a glass or spoon it out of a bowl as a soup - it not only tastes delicious, but also really fills you up.
Falafel is a dish originating from Arabic cuisine, which is made from pureed chickpeas, herbs and spices. Sesame seeds are also often used.
Instead of shaping the ingredients into balls, in this recipe we blend them into a green smoothie. And it works like this:

- 2 tbsp chickpeas
- 1 tbsp black sesame butter (you can also use light-coloured sesame butter as an alternative)
- 1/2 medium courgette
- 1/2 cup parsley and dill (fresh)
- 1/2 cup water
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible)
The appliances:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie
The chickpeas must sprout before you eat them raw. Start two days before you want to enjoy this green smoothie. Place the chickpeas in a sufficiently large bowl and add plenty of water. The dried pulses will swell considerably and increase in volume. Change the soaking water every 12 hours and otherwise leave the chickpeas in a place that is not too cold.
After 48 hours, pour off the soaking water and rinse the chickpeas thoroughly with fresh water. Place the now sprouted pulses in the blender jug of your blender or mixer and blend to a paste. You will need to add a little water for this to work. Start with half a cup of water and add more water by the tablespoon if necessary. Once the chickpeas have been pureed until smooth, add the black or light-coloured sesame puree.
Remove the stalk from the courgette and add the vegetable, chopped into large pieces, to the chickpea puree and sesame seeds in the blender jug. Add the fresh herbs, parsley and dill. It is also best to chop the herbs a little beforehand: shorten any long stalks so that they do not get caught in the blades of the blender or mixer and block them.
Depending on how thin or thick you want your smoothie, you may need to add a little more water. Then blend all the ingredients within 50 to 60 seconds to create a smooth green smoothie.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Courgette and walnut smoothie in green
Perfect to take with you on the go or to work: a green smoothie for lunch. You only need a few minutes to prepare the smoothie fresh in the morning. Once well sealed in a suitable container, you can simply pop it in your bag and enjoy it later as a lunchtime snack.
Courgettes and herbs provide you with fresh greens. Add a portion of walnuts to make the green smoothie even more filling.

- 1 medium courgette
- 1 tbsp walnut butter or 10 to 12 walnut kernels
- Juice of a quarter of a lemon
- 1 handful of basil, thyme and oregano mixed together
- 1/2 cup of water
- optional: 1 pinch of salt and/or 1 pinch of pepper
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, as far as possible).
The appliances:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie:
If you prefer to use whole walnut kernels instead of walnut butter, start by grinding them: Place the kernels in your blender or mixer and grind them into a fine flour. Then grind them a little longer so that the oil starts to come out of the kernels.
If you are using walnut puree, simply add this to the blender jug of your mixer or blender.
Remove the stalk from the courgette and chop the vegetable into large pieces. Add the courgette pieces to the walnut butter or ground walnut kernels in the blender jug.
Juice the lemon and add the lemon juice to the ingredients in the blender jug. Then add the water.
Finally, add the herbs, the greens for this green smoothie, to the remaining ingredients. Pluck a few leaves each from the basil, thyme and oregano and add them to the blender jug.
Blend all the ingredients in just under 60 seconds to create a smooth, creamy smoothie. Enjoy your green smoothie as a drink or as a soup. Season with a little salt or pepper to taste.
Variant 1: Prepare the green smoothie without half a cup of extra water to obtain a thicker cream. Use it as a dip with chopped vegetables or as a dressing for a salad. This is also a great way to take this meal with you: Pack the salad or vegetables and dip separately and only add them together at mealtimes.
Variation 2: In addition to the ingredients listed above, mix half a head of green salad into the smoothie. This way you have a complete salad with dressing. Denkhen consuming the green smoothie, remember to drink it in small sips and "chew" every sip!
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Tangerine and coconut smoothie
This green smoothie is perfect for serving as a dessert: as a cream, mixed according to this recipe, or frozen as ice cream.

- 1 handful of pieces of ripe coconut
- 1/2 glass of coconut water
- 4 Deglet dates
- 5 mandarins
- 2 large handfuls of endive lettuce
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible.)
The devices:
To prepare a green smoothie, you will need a Vitamix or a similarly powerful blender.
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie:
A few hours before you want to prepare the green smoothie, pit the Deglet dates, place them in a glass or small bowl and add enough water to just cover the dates. Leave the dates to soak in the water for at least six to eight hours so that they become softer and can be blended until smooth. You can then use the soaking water in the smoothie - it absorbs a lot of the sweetness from the dates.
Firstly, open the coconut. To do this, pierce one of the three "eyes" on the top of the coconut, e.g. with a sharp knife or a screwdriver. One of the three "eyes", i.e. the three circular spots on the coconut, can be pierced very easily. Just try it out to find the right eye. Push a straw through the opening and enjoy the coconut water.
The water, the juice of the coconut, should taste sweet and pleasant. Unfortunately, the coconuts available in normal shops are sometimes already spoilt; this can hardly be recognised from the outside. So if the juice tastes spoilt or unpleasant, don't drink it. Sometimes the flesh is still usable even though the juice has already spoilt. It is therefore worth trying to open the coconut anyway.
The most elegant way to open the coconut is to hammer around the equator of the nut with a hammer or the blunt side of a heavy knife. Once the shell has been broken open, remove the flesh with a strong knife.
Grate about a handful of the coconut flesh in the Vitamix. To do this, run the blender on speed 6 with the lid closed and gradually add the pieces of coconut through the lid opening. They land on the rotating blades and are grated by them in no time at all.
Then switch the blender off again. Add the coconut water to the grated coconut in the blender jug.
Juice the mandarins and add the mandarin juice to the blender jug. Add the soaked Deglet dates with the soaking water. Finally, add the chopped endive to the blender jug. Put the lid back on the blender jug and blend all the ingredients at the highest setting for one to two minutes until you have a smooth, thick green smoothie. You may need to use the pusher to move the ingredients closer to the blades while blending.
Serve the smoothie garnished with pieces of mandarin.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Pineapple orange à la Thai
In this smoothie, bright yellow and orange tones combine with the green of the wheatgrass to create a yellow-green smoothie. Fresh turmeric with its bright orange-yellow colour contributes to both the colour and the exotic taste.
Choose a good, ripe fruit for your green smoothie. You can recognise a ripe pineapple by the fact that the green leaves in the crown of the fruit can be easily pulled out. The appearance of the skin also shows the ripeness of the pineapple: the individual leaf sections of the skin should be slightly apart.
Pineapple and the equally exotic spices ginger and turmeric are joined in this green smoothie by wheatgrass. If you have fresh wheatgrass, it is best to juice some of it and add the freshly squeezed juice to your smoothie.
In a high-performance blender, you can also blend the whole wheatgrass instead, without any fibrous residue interfering with the enjoyment of the smoothie.
If you don't have any fresh wheatgrass available, or if you need it quickly, you can also use wheatgrass powder. Choose a high-quality product that is organic and raw.

- 2 cups of diced fresh pineapple
- 1 orange
- 1/4 cm fresh turmeric root
- 1/2 cm fresh ginger root
- 1 tbsp wheatgrass powder or 1/2 glass freshly squeezed wheatgrass juice
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, as far as possible).
The appliances:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie
Firstly, dice the pineapple for this smoothie. To do this, first cut off the top of the pineapple. Then cut the fruit into slices, remove the skin and cut the slices into cubes. You can also use the centre parts; although they are a little hard, they are usually very tasty. Place the pineapple cubes in the blender jug of your mixer or blender.
Peel the orange, cut it into segments and remove any coarse fibres. Add the orange segments to the pineapple cubes in the blender jug.
Chop the pieces of turmeric and ginger root a little and add them to the blender jug. Finally, add the wheatgrass powder or wheatgrass juice. Blend all the ingredients in your blender or mixer at the highest setting for about 60 seconds until you have a smooth smoothie.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Courgette-cashew-rosemary
This savoury green smoothie is so wonderfully creamy - better than any cream soup! Creamy cashew nuts and courgette make sure of that.
Cashew nuts are a popular ingredient in the raw food kitchen for anything that needs to be creamy. They are best known for their use in impressive raw food cakes. However, the white kernels can also be used to prepare delicious savoury dishes!

- 1 medium courgette
- 1/4 cup cashew nuts
- 1 handful of parsley
- A few needles of fresh rosemary
- 1 pinch of salt
- Juice of a quarter of a lemon
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup water
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible.)
The devices:
You will need a blender or mixerto prepare the green smoothie .
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie
Soak the cashew nuts in water for about four to six hours before use. Place them in a suitable container and add plenty of water. The seeds absorb the water and increase in volume. This makes them much softer and allows them to be processed into a very smooth, creamy cream. Before blending the seeds, pour off the soaking water. Then place the well-drained kernels in the blender jug of your mixer or blender.
Remove the end and stem of the courgette, chop the rest of the fruit into large pieces and add to the cashew nuts in the blender jug. Also add the parsley, roughly chopped, to the ingredients. Pluck a few needles from the rosemary and add these to the blender jug. Juice the lemon and add the juice together with the water to the other ingredients in the blender jug. Choose the amount of water as required: The more water you use, the thinner your green smoothie will be. If you prefer a creamy smoothie or soup, it is better to use a little less water; for a drink, you can add a little more liquid. Season with a little salt to taste and blend for around 60 seconds on the highest setting of your blender to create a smooth, creamy smoothie.
Variations: Use other herbs instead of parsley and rosemary. Dill and thyme, for example, go very well with courgettes. If you prefer something a little more exotic, try mint in this preparation. Choose your favourite herbs and let your imagination run wild!
Enjoy the smoothie as a drink from a glass or as a soup.
Have fun preparing it and bon appétit!
Sweet potatoes and dandelion in a jar
Another recipe for a delicious green soup - in raw food quality. A green smoothie as a savoury lunch or evening meal.
The base for this green smoothie is sweet potato - so you need a powerful blender to produce a really smooth soup.
Your meal will be green thanks to dandelion - a wild plant that is probably familiar to everyone and can be found almost everywhere. If you have considered this plant an annoying weed until now, now is the time to reconsider your opinion.
In combination with the sweet-tasting sweet potato and dates, the bitter dandelion makes a delicious and slightly exotic-tasting soup.

- 1/2 sweet potato (cut into cubes approx. 1 cup)
- 6 deglet dates
- 1/2 tsp curry powder
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup dandelion
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, as far as possible).
The appliances:
To prepare the green smoothie, you need a Vitamix or a comparably powerful blender that can process the hard sweet potato into a creamy soup.
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie
If you do not have very fresh, very juicy Deglet dates, you will need to soak the fruit for a few hours before processing. To do this, pit them and leave them covered in water for around six to eight hours (or longer). Only use enough water to cover the dates. Use the water that has absorbed a lot of the sweet flavour of the dates after the soaking time in the smoothie.
To process the sweet potato into a green smoothie, grate it first. Cut them into cubes. Close the blender jug of your Vitamix with the lid without the centre insert and switch the blender on to speed 6. Pour the sweet potato cubes into the blender jug through the filler opening in the lid. They land on the rotating blades and are easily grated.
As soon as the sweet potato has been grated, switch the blender off again. Add the dates and their soaking water to the grated sweet potato in the blender jug. Then add the curry powder, cinnamon and water, and finally add the dandelion leaves. Blend all the ingredients on the highest setting for around one to two minutes to create a smooth green smoothie.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Sweet potato and herb smoothie
How about a savoury green smoothie for lunch or dinner? This preparation makes a light yet filling soup as well as a drink.
The basis for this dish is sweet potato - a slightly sweet-tasting alternative to conventional potatoes, with which it has nothing in common apart from the name. Unlike the potatoes we are familiar with here, sweet potatoes can be enjoyed raw without hesitation. If you like sweet potatoes, you will love this smoothie:

- 1/2 sweet potato (cut into cubes, it should be approx. 1 cup full)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp linseed oil
- fresh rosemary
- a handful of fresh dill
- fresh thyme
- optional 1 pinch of salt
- optional 1 pinch of pepper
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, as far as possible).
The devices:
To prepare a green smoothie, you need a Vitamix or a similarly powerful blender that can transform the relatively hard sweet potato into a creamy smoothie.
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie
Firstly, you need to grate the sweet potato. The easiest and quickest way to do this is in the Vitamix. To do this, first cut the sweet potato into cubes. It is not necessary to peel the root; the peel can also be eaten. Then place the lid of your Vitamix on the blender jug, but leave the lid insert out so that the filler opening in the lid remains free. Switch the Vitamix to level 6 and gradually feed the sweet potato cubes through the filler opening in the lid into the blender jug with the rotating blades. The cubes fall onto the rotating blades and are processed into coarse shreds. Once all the sweet potato has been grated, switch off the blender.
Now add the water, linseed oil and fresh herbs to the sweet potato in the blender jug. Chop the long stalks of dill a little so that they do not wrap around the blades. Now close the lid opening and place the complete, closed lid on the blender jug. Otherwise, your green smoothie will spread all over your kitchen. Switch on the Vitamix again, quickly increase the speed to '10' and blend all the ingredients into a smooth smoothie in around one to two minutes.
Season your green smoothie with a little salt and/or pepper to taste and enjoy it either from the glass or as a soup from a bowl or soup plate.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Green cocoa with goji berries
Despite the name, not every green smoothie is recognisable by its colour. Prepare a delicious cocoa drink for yourself or your loved ones and provide them with valuable greens from fresh mint at the same time.
In addition to mint and sweet fruit, this green smoothie contains the superfoods cocoa and lucuma.

- 2 tbsp dried goji berries
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 tsp carob powder
- 1/2 tsp cocoa powder
- 1 pinch of lucuma powder
- 1 handful of fresh mint
- 2 dates Deglet
- 1/4 cup water
All ingredients in raw and organic quality, as far as possible).
The appliances:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie:
To ensure that the dried goji berries and Deglet Nour dates blend really smoothly in the green smoothie, you need to soak them in water for a few hours beforehand. It makes sense to soak them for at least six to eight hours. It is practical to soak the dried fruit overnight so that it is ready for blending in the morning.
Place the goji berries in a glass or small bowl and add enough water to just cover the berries. The berries will absorb a large proportion of the water to replace their own juice lost during drying. This increases their volume and makes them nice and soft. Incidentally, the water not only absorbs some of the colour but also the flavour of the berries, which is why it makes sense to use it in the smoothie.
Pit the Deglet dates and soak them in just enough water to cover the dates. Of course, the same applies to the dates as to the goji berries, and here too you use the soaking water.
Place the soaked goji berries and the soaked dates together with the soaking water in the blender jug of your mixer or blender.
Select two well-ripe bananas - recognisable by their yellow skin with the first brown spots on it - peel them and add the slightly chopped flesh to the Deglet dates and goji berries in the blender jug.
Add the carob powder, cocoa powder and lucuma powder to the fruit in the blender jug.
Finally, add the ingredient that makes this smoothie a green smoothie: fresh mint. Add the leaves to the other ingredients in the blender jug and process all the ingredients in the blender on the highest setting to create a smooth smoothie.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Super baobab smoothie
A green smoothie with the double power of fresh green leaves and the superfood baobab.

- 1 to 2 bananas
- 4 Deglet dates
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 1 tsp baobab powder
- 1 cup lamb's lettuce
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible)
The equipment:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
How to prepare the green smoothie
Do you have very fresh, juicy Deglet dates to hand for this green smoothie? If so, you can simply pit them and put them in the blender jug. Otherwise, it is better to soak them in water for at least six to eight hours beforehand. To do this, pit the dates, place them in a suitable container and add enough water to just cover the dates. During soaking, the dry dates absorb the water, making them larger and softer. Some of the sweet flavour is transferred to the water, which is why it is best to use the soaking water in the smoothie. Place the dates - fresh or soaked together with the soaking water - in the blender jug of your blender or mixer.
Choose ripe bananas for this smoothie. Choose fruit whose skin is fully yellow, without green colouring, and which already has a few (or even several) brown spots.
Peel the banana(s) and add the flesh, chopped if necessary, to the dates in the blender jug.
Then add the almond butter and baobab powder to the bananas and dates.
Now the greens are missing for the green smoothie. I have chosen lamb's lettuce for this recipe. Its fresh, slightly nutty flavour harmonises very well with the sweet fruit. Of course, you can also use any other lettuce instead. Chop the lamb's lettuce a little and clean it if there is too much soil on the roots. Place the lamb's lettuce in the blender jug.
Now blend all the ingredients in your blender or mixer for around 60 seconds until you have a smooth, creamy green smoothie. Serve the smoothie in a nice glass - or drink it straight from the blender jug.

Ginger turmeric green
This green smoothie combines leaves, roots and fruit to create an unusual but extremely delicious blend. The basis for the smoothie is the plantain, which despite its name is of course also edible raw. The prerequisite for this is that the banana is really ripe! Only eat a plantain raw when the skin is mostly or completely black in colour and the flesh is soft to the touch.
Turmeric in a sweet smoothie may seem unusual at first. However, the yellow-coloured tuber harmonises just as well with fruits such as pineapple, mango or orange as it does with savoury dishes. It goes particularly well with bananas - both sweet fruit bananas and not-so-sweet vegetable bananas.
Wild herbs make another important contribution to this green smoothie. The greens in this green smoothie come from mallow leaves. This wild herb has a very mild flavour and is therefore also suitable for children and beginners to wild herbs
When chewed, the soft green leaves of the mallow become slightly slimy; an effect that not everyone likes. However, this is not noticeable in a smoothie.

- 1 ripe plantain
- 1/2 cm fresh ginger
- 1/2 cm fresh turmeric
- 1 to 2 handfuls of mallow leaves
- 1/2 cup water
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible.)
The equipment:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
Preparing the green smoothie:
Peel the plantain or cut open the skin and scoop out the flesh. Then put the pulp into the blender jug of your blender or mixer. Add a piece of the fresh ginger and a piece of the fresh turmeric bulb.
Then add the mallow leaves and water to the blender jug and blend all the ingredients into a smooth green smoothie in around 60 seconds.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Exotic pineapple in a jar
This green smoothie tastes good at any time of year and in any weather. On cloudy days, the exotic flavour of tropical pineapple and the fresh spices turmeric and ginger bring sunshine to your day; when the sun shines, close your eyes and dream yourself away on a tropical beach with your fresh cocktail.

- 6 Deglet dates
- approx. 1/2 fresh pineapple (Cut into cubes to make about a cupful.)
- 1/4 cm fresh turmeric
- 1/4 to 1/2 cm fresh ginger
- 1/2 cup mallow
(All ingredients should be raw and organic wherever possible.)
The equipment:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
And this is how you prepare the green smoothie :
To be able to use the Deglet dates in the smoothie, you need to soak them for at least six hours beforehand. To do this, pit the dates, place them in a suitable container and add enough water to just cover the dates. As some of the minerals are dissolved in the water and a lot of the flavour from the fruit is transferred to the water, use the soaking water in the smoothie.
Place the soaked dates with the soaking water in the blender jug of your mixer or blender.
First cut the pineapple into slices, remove the skin and any hard fibres from the edges and cut the flesh into cubes. You can also use the centre part of the pineapple. Although it is slightly harder than the rest of the fruit, it is usually very tasty. And in this case, your blender will do the chewing for you.
Add the diced pineapple flesh to the dates in the blender jug. Add the piece of turmeric and the pieces of ginger to the ingredients in the blender jug.
Now all that's missing is the ingredient that will turn this exotic smoothie into a green smoothie: Fresh mallow leaves.
Process all the ingredients in your blender or mixer on the highest setting to create a smooth green smoothie. This will take around 40 to 60 seconds, depending on the power of your appliance.
Pour the smoothie into a nice glass and enjoy immediately.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Cherry-banana-cocoa
This green smoothie is a raw food version of the well-known juice mix KiBa, cherry-banana juice. Cocoa is known as one of the world's superfoods.
The nettle leaves taste delicious, but are not so easy to eat for the untrained due to their stinging hairs. If necessary, use gloves or a plastic bag to help you pick the leaves. Kneading the leaves vigorously (e.g. in a bag) softens the stinging hairs and you can then eat the leaves. If you want to be on the safe side, process the nettle leaves in a blender. For example, with a green smoothie like this one:

- 1 banana
- 2 tbsp dried sour cherries
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- 3 deglet dates
- 1 tsp lucuma powder
- 1 handful of nettles
The equipment:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
Here's how to prepare the green smoothie
Soak the sour cherries and dates in water for at least six hours before preparing the green smoothie. If you want to eat the smoothie for breakfast, it is best to soak the fruit the evening before. To do this, pit the dates and then place both the sour cherries and the dates in separate containers and add enough water to cover the fruit. The soaking water absorbs some of the flavour and should therefore also be used in the green smoothie.
To prepare the smoothie, place the cherries and dates, both with the soaking water, in the blender jug of your mixer or blender. Peel the banana and place it in the blender jug too. Select a ripe banana for the smoothie. You can recognise a ripe banana by the colour of its skin. It should be completely yellow, without any green colouring, and have at least the first brown spots. Larger parts of the skin may also be brown-spotted. The flesh of the banana will become softer and slightly darker as it ripens - this is fine and the banana is still perfectly edible.
Add the cocoa powder, lucuma powder and nettles to the other ingredients in the blender jug.
Blend all the ingredients on the highest setting for around 60 seconds to create a smooth, creamy smoothie and enjoy your delicious KiBa cocoa straight away!
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Bloody Mary
Thanks to all the green in this recipe, this Bloody Mary is more green-brown than blood-red, unlike its famous namesake.
You can enjoy this Bloody Mary as a drink or serve it as a tomato soup. A light dinner that can be made even more filling by adding raw vegetable noodles to the soup if required. Or a savoury snack between meals that is also easy to take away.
Speaking of takeaway: You can easily take most smoothies with you and enjoy them as a healthy meal at work or on the go! Green smoothies are particularly suitable for this as, unlike sweet banana smoothies without green leaves in the list of ingredients, for example, they don't discolour as much and don't look unappetising as quickly. Transport your smoothie in a well-closing cup and shake it well before enjoying!

- 6 fresh tomatoes
- 3 dried tomatoes
- 1/2 ripe avocado
- 1 cup fresh herbs: basil, dill, parsley, thyme
- 1 stalk of celery, with or without leaves
- optional: 1 clove garlic
- optional: salt
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, as far as possible).
The appliances:
The preparation of the green smoothie:
Soak the sun-dried tomatoes in water for at least eight hours, preferably overnight, before preparing the green smoothie. If you are using salted tomatoes, pour off the soaking water before use so that the smoothie is not too salty.
Place the soaked, well-drained tomatoes in the blender jug of your blender or mixer. Remove the green from the fresh tomatoes and put them in the blender jug too. Cut the avocado in half, remove the stone and spoon the flesh out of the skin into the blender jug with the tomatoes. Pluck the herb leaves from the stalks and add them to the other ingredients. Use all four herbs mentioned, or just some of them, according to your taste.
Chop the celery stalk a little and add it to the tomatoes, herbs and avocado. Depending on the power of your blender, you may want to cut the celery into very small pieces - not every blender can handle the long, hard fibres.
Now add the peeled garlic clove and a little salt to taste and blend all the ingredients into a thick green smoothie. Enjoy the smoothie like a Bloody Mary from a glass, or serve it as a soup in a deep bowl.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Another banana smoothie
It goes without saying that a banana blended into a green smoothie should also be ripe. Even very ripe bananas, with lots of brown spots on the skin, are usually still perfectly edible and delicious, but no longer as visually appealing. Blending them in a smoothie is a perfect way to still enjoy these valuable fruits! The riper the bananas used, the thinner and more liquid the smoothie will be. This is because the riper the banana, the more of the starch it contains has already been converted into sugar. You can see this in the flesh, which is then much softer than in a banana that is still rather yellow.
The greenery in this smoothie comes from lemon balm and strawberry leaves. As with almost all local fruits, you can eat the strawberry leaves too!

- 2 cups of strawberries
- 2 small, very ripe bananas
- 1 tbsp agave syrup
- 1 tbsp almond puree
- 1 handful of lemon balm leaves
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, as far as possible).
The appliances:
All you need to prepare this green smoothie is a simple blender or mixer.
It's so easy to prepare this green smoothie:
Peel the bananas and place the flesh in the blender jug of your blender or mixer. If you like your green smoothie rather runny, add a quarter to half a cup of water. More if the bananas you are using in the smoothie are not quite as ripe and soft as described above. Simply add the strawberries to the bananas in the blender jug as they are. It is not necessary to remove the leaves from the small red berries. You can eat them without hesitation. Add the agave syrup to the remaining ingredients. Add the almond puree to the blender jug. Pluck the lemon balm leaves from the stalks and add them to the mixture.
Blend all the ingredients for around 30 to 60 seconds. If you're wondering about the colour: you haven't done anything wrong! As lemon balm hardly colours, this green smoothie remains pink, with the strawberries clearly dominating the colour. Pour the smoothie into a glass or bowl and enjoy immediately.
Variations: If you prefer your green smoothie a little less sweet, simply omit the agave syrup. You can also use something else to sweeten it. Raw alternatives include apple syrup or stevia, both of which have a relatively strong flavour. Date puree made from soaked, pureed dates or raw food palm sugar are other, more flavourful options. Replace the almond puree with other nut butters as you wish and experiment with the different flavours.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Sweetcorn tomato
This green smoothie not only tastes great straight from the glass, but also makes an excellent sauce for (raw) pasta, as a soup or as a dip for sweet potatoes cut into sticks.
Tinned sweetcorn is already cooked and flavoured. Always buy the cobs fresh, with leaves. If possible, the cob should still be completely covered by the leaves, as the kernels dry out quickly after the leaves have been removed. When choosing corn on the cob, look for a strong yellow colour and firm, spotless kernels.

- 2 small cobs of fresh sweetcorn
- 4 tomatoes
- 1 handful of fresh dill
- 1 handful of fresh parsley
- 1 bulb of fresh young garlic, with green on it
- 1 tsp tamari sauce
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, as far as possible).
The appliances:
To puree the corn kernels for these green smoothies, you will need a powerful blender such as the Vitamix.
Preparing the green smoothie:
First remove the leaves and whiskers from the corn cobs. You can also store the corn husks and enjoy them dried as tea. Then use a sharp knife to separate the corn kernels from the cobs. Place the kernels in the blender jug of your mixer or blender. Remove the green parts of the tomatoes, i.e. the leaves and stems and any green parts around the stem. Pluck the dill and parsley leaves from the stalks and add the greens to the vegetables in the blender jug. Add the chopped garlic - with the green parts of the young bulbs if possible. Now add the tamari sauce to the blender jug and process all the ingredients on the highest blending setting to create a thick drink. For a really smooth smoothie, blend for around 60 to 90 seconds.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Pear and nettle
This green smoothie made from fresh fruit and nettles gets its special flavour from a hint of cinnamon.

- 1 ripe pear
- 1/2 ripe banana
- 1/2 cup freshly picked nettle leaves (alternatively, use dried nettle leaves and soak them in a little water for about half an hour beforehand)
- 1/2 ripe avocado
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder, ideally freshly ground
- 3 Deglet dates
What you should bear in mind when preparing the green smoothie
If you do not have completely fresh dates, you must soak them for at least six to eight hours before adding them to the smoothie, depending on how dry the dates are. It is practical to soak the dates the evening before preparation if you want to enjoy the green smoothie fresh in the morning. To do this, pit the dates and cover them with water in a suitable container. Use just enough water to cover the dates. The soaking water absorbs a lot of the sweetness from the dates and is therefore best used in the smoothie.
The same applies to dried nettle leaves; they also need to be soaked before processing. However, a soaking time of approx. 30 minutes is sufficient for dried leaves.
Cinnamon can of course be used ready-ground. Make sure you buy good quality cinnamon. The cinnamon should have been dried and ground at low temperatures if possible and be absolutely free from other additives.
Remove the stem and core of the pear and the skin from the banana and place both in the blender jug. Pit the avocado and spoon the flesh out of the skin into the remaining ingredients in the blender jug. Add the nettle leaves, the soaked dates and their soaking water. Finally, add the cinnamon and blend all the ingredients at the highest setting for around 60 seconds to create a creamy green smoothie.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Herb and almond cream
A green smoothie doesn't always have to be sweet! This creamy, savoury smoothie is perfect as a quick dinner when enjoyed on its own. Alternatively, you can modify it and serve it as a dip or salad dressing with vegetables, salads or spinach.
Courgettes are the perfect base for savoury green smoothies. The "little pumpkins" - the meaning of the original Italian name for the vegetable fruit - are quite neutral in flavour and produce a creamy consistency when blended. They are also low in fat and contain few calories. Fresh courgettes are available in shops almost all year round. Whenever possible, favour products from regional cultivation. You can get courgettes during the summer months; during the rest of the year, the green fruit on offer usually comes from Spain or Italy.

- 1 handful of almond kernels
- 2 cups of water
- 10 cm piece of courgette
- 1 cup fresh herbs mixed: dill, thyme, basil, oregano
- 3 tbsp seaweed spaghetti
- salt to taste
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, as far as possible).
The appliances:
To prepare a green smoothie, you also need a powerful blender or mixer. The more powerful your blender, the smoother and creamier your green smoothie will be!
The preparation of the green smoothie:
If you are using dried seaweed spaghetti, soak it in water the evening before.
First place the almond kernels in the dry blender jug of your blender or mixer. Grind the kernels into a fine flour in 30 to 60 seconds and blend for a further 30 seconds or so. The oil will begin to seep out of the kernels and the almond kernels will slowly turn into almond paste. You would need to blend even longer to really get almond paste, but this start is enough to give the green smoothie a slightly softer consistency.
Switch the blender off again and add the other ingredients. First add the water to the ground almonds. Depending on the power of your blender and the size of the blender jug, chop the courgette a little and add it to the blender jug. Pluck or Strip the leaves of the fresh herbs from the stalks and add them to the other ingredients. Finally, add the seaweed - fresh seaweed or the spaghetti seaweed soaked the night before. For the latter, you can also use some of the soaking water. It will be quite salty, so dose it carefully so as not to accidentally oversalt your "soup". The addition of extra salt will probably not be necessary. If you do, preferably use sea salt without any additives, or Himalayan salt.
Put the lid back on the blender and blend all the ingredients on the highest setting for about one to two minutes until you have a smooth smoothie.
Variation: Use only half the amount of water to prepare a thick, creamy smoothie. The green smoothie tastes great as a dip with vegetables or as a dressing for salads!
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Nut and herb pesto
Green smoothie - whether you drink it, spoon it or use it as a spread on vegetable slices.
The latter is just one of many ways to enjoy this flavoursome pesto! Alternatively, you can also use it as a dip for vegetable sticks or simply spoon it on its own. A few tablespoons of the pesto mixed with a little water makes a delicious dressing for salads. If you use a little more water and add half a courgette, you have a drinkable green smoothie. However, these full-flavoured drinks are better eaten than drunk anyway, even if they are liquid enough to drink

- 1/2 cup walnut kernels
- 1 bulb of young garlic or 1 to 2 cloves
- 1/2 cup fresh thyme
- 1 cup fresh dill
- 1.5 cup fresh basil
- Salt to taste
- optionally 1 tbsp walnut oil or water
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, as far as possible).
The appliances:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
The preparation of the green smoothie:
Place the kernels of the walnuts in the blender jug of your blender or mixer and grind them into a flour. Blend for about half a minute after grinding until the oil starts to come out of the nuts.
Peel or chop the garlic and add it to the ground nuts in the blender jug. Chop the fresh herbs by stripping the thyme leaves from the stalks - this is easy to do if you brush along the stalks from top to bottom - and also strip the fine sprigs of dill from the centre, coarser stalks. Separate the basil leaves from the stalks and add all the herbs to the other ingredients in the blender jug.
You will need a little more liquid to blend everything into a smooth pesto. Depending on how fatty you want your pesto to be, you can either add walnut oil or - for the lower-fat version - water.
You can now lightly salt the pesto to suit your taste preferences. Use a high-quality salt for this, such as sea salt or Himalayan salt.
Close your blender jug and blend all the ingredients until you have a smooth pesto. Pour the pesto into a screw-top jar with a tight seal. It will keep for a few days if stored in the fridge.
Serve the pesto as a dip with vegetables or salads, or simply enjoy it straight from the jar with a spoon.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Basic smoothie for the summer
However, as you can see from the list of ingredients, this smoothie does not contain any green leaves according to the recipe. It owes its green colour to the Galia melon with its delicate green flesh.
However, the actual idea behind this basic recipe is exactly that: Add green leaves of your choice to this smoothie base. This is a light, summery blend. Suitable for the warm season and not as heavy and filling as a banana-based smoothie. Add your favourite greens to taste! During the summer months, there is a large selection of fresh wild herbs - try a smoothie with nettles, sorrel or tender lime leaves. Salads, which you can now find fresh and locally grown in many variations on the market, will also enrich your smoothie.

- 1/2 galia melon
- 1 small apple or pear
- 1 tbsp apple syrup
- 6 ice cubes
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, as far as possible).
The devices:
To prepare this green smoothie, you need a powerful blender that can also handle ice cubes. The Vitamix can do this, for example.
How to prepare your green smoothie
Cut the Galia melon in half. Remove the seeds from the melon with a spoon. Cut the melon into slices, peel it and cut the flesh into pieces. Place the melon pieces in the blender jug.
Remove the stem and core of the apple. Peel it if you are not using an organic or untreated apple. Otherwise, use the peel as well. Chop the apple a little and add the pieces to the melon pieces in the blender jug. Add the apple syrup.
Close the blender jug, switch on the blender and blend all the ingredients at the highest setting for about 30 seconds. Open the lid again to add the ice cubes. If your blender has a filler insert in the lid, it is also sufficient to open this.
Add the ice cubes to the pureed ingredients and close the blender again. Switch the blender on again and blend for a further 30 seconds. The ice cubes not only make the smoothie cooler, but above all much frothier and creamier. Pour the green smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately!
Have fun preparing it and bon appétit!
Green smoothie "Summer Wonderland"
Summer is the time for melons, cucumbers and delicious salads from your own garden or fresh from the farmers' market. What could be better than combining these seasonal fruits into a refreshing and lightly nourishing green smoothie?
Honeydew melons, Galia melons, netted melons, cantaloupe and more: the choice of sweet melons is huge in summer. Many of these sweet melons are available almost all year round. However, they are at their tastiest in the summer months. This warm season is also the best time to enjoy melons. This is because these sweet, juicy fruits are very rich in water and have a cooling and refreshing effect on the body. Each of these sweet melon varieties tastes great in a smoothie. Choose your favourite variety and try it for yourself!
By the way: Do you know how to recognise the ripeness of melons when you buy them? Smell the melon - it should smell slightly sweet and like melon. In addition, the skin at the stem end should give way when lightly pressed with a finger.
Unlike watermelons, sweet melons contain all their seeds in the centre of the fruit, which makes cutting and blending the melon easier.
Oak leaf lettuce owes its name to the fact that the loose leaves of this lettuce resemble oak leaves in their elongated, irregularly serrated shape. This lettuce is available in different varieties, with both green and red leaves.
Adding a few leaves of fresh mint gives it a particularly refreshing flavour.
The ice cubes in the recipe are not used to chill the green smoothie, but rather to make the smoothie particularly creamy and frothy!

- Sugared melon (1/2 blender jug Vitamix full, diced)
- 5 cm cucumber
- 1/2 head of oak leaf lettuce
- 1 few leaves of mint
- 3 ice cubes
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, as far as possible).
The appliances:
To prepare a green smoothie, you need a large blender, such as the Vitamix or a comparable model.
And how do you prepare the green smoothie?
First cut the melon in half. Remove the seeds. Cut the melon into slices. Then remove the skin and cut the flesh into cubes. Place the cubes in the blender jug of your Vitamix. For one portion of this green smoothie, you will need about half a blender jug full of melon cubes.
Remove the stem from the cucumber, chop the vegetable fruit a little and add the pieces to the melon cubes in the blender jug. Chop the lettuce slightly and add it to the other ingredients in the blender jug. Finally, add the mint leaves. Don't forget to close the blender jug tightly with the lid before switching on the blender and blending all the ingredients at the highest setting for around 30 seconds. Then add the ice cubes - this is very easy thanks to the small lid insert: simply remove briefly, fill in the ice cubes, replace the lid insert. - and blend everything for a further 30 seconds.
Pour the green smoothie into a large glass and enjoy immediately!
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Mint Delight
This green smoothie comes in three colours and requires a little more effort to prepare. Serve it as an impressive dessert or sweet snack.

- approx. 2 large cherimoyas
- 2 tbsp dried sour cherries
- 1 small handful of fresh mint leaves
- Raw chocolate or chocolate chips to taste raw chocolates for decorating.
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, as far as possible).
The devices:
As with any green smoothie, you will need a blender or mixer for this one. For this recipe, also take a little more time and be patient when coring the cherimoyas.
And how do you prepare the green smoothie?
Soak the dried cherries in water at least eight hours before preparing the smoothie. It is practical to soak them the evening before. Then the cherries will be ready in time for breakfast in the morning.
Cut the cherimoyas in half, remove the stalks and scoop the flesh out of the skin. Remove the more or less abundant large black seeds, as these are not edible and should therefore not be mixed into the green smoothie. Depending on the number of seeds in the cherimoyas, this may be a little tedious - but it's worth the effort!
A cherimoya that contains a lot of seeds will logically have less flesh. It is therefore difficult to predict how many fruits you will need for this recipe. The pulp removed from the skin and pitted should yield around 400ml unmixed.
Put all the pulp into the blender jug of your mixer or blender and puree. In just 30 seconds you will have a creamy, delicious cream. Pour about a quarter of the cream into a small bowl and set aside for the time being.
Now add the mint leaves to the remaining cream in the blender jug and blend both together for a further 30 to 60 seconds. Blend until the mint is completely blended and the cherimoya cream has turned a pale green colour.
Pour half of the cream into a shallow bowl. Only pour the cream into one half of the bowl! In the other half, next to the mint cream, place the cherry cream, which you will mix in the next step of this recipe.
Now add half of the soaked cherries together with half of the soaking water to the remaining cherimoya cream in the blender jug and blend both together, again for around 30 to 60 seconds. Pour this cream into the other half of the bowl alongside the other half. Arrange the two differently coloured creams into a yin-yang symbol, if you like.
Then add the white cherimoya cream you set aside earlier to the centre of the bowl as a topping. Decorate this heavenly dessert with the remaining soaked cherries and, if you like, a small chocolate praline or a few mint leaves.
Alternatively, you can also serve the multi-coloured green smoothie in a glass. In this case, arrange the differently coloured creams in several layers on top of each other.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Fruity salad to drink
Oranges and avocado combine well with fresh salad to make a quick, light and refreshing dinner. If you like the combination, why not try it as a smoothie? This brings variety and also saves time - both when preparing and eating!

- 3 small oranges
- 1/2 avocado
- 1/2 to 1 head of lettuce
- 1 tbsp apple syrup (or another raw vegan sweetener of your choice)
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible).
Of course, you will also need a blender or mixer to process all these ingredients into a green smoothie. To puree the oranges as fibre-free as possible, we recommend using a powerful blender. The Vitamix is ideal for this.
How to turn salad ingredients into a green smoothie:
Peel the oranges, remove any thicker fibres from the white inner skins and place the fruit in the blender jug of your mixer or blender. If you are using a Vitamix, you can simply place the oranges completely in the blender jug. If you are using a less powerful blender, it is better to divide them into individual segments beforehand and remove the white fibres from the centre of the fruit.
Cut the avocado in half, remove the stone and spoon the flesh out of the skin into the blender jug with the oranges. If you are using organic avocados with untreated skin, you can also blend them with the skin. The slightly thicker skin of the Hass avocado often tastes a little bitter; it is better to try it carefully to see if you like the flavour. Like most fruits, avocados are generally edible with the skin on.
The avocado provides the first part of the green colour, but the leafy greens are still missing in this green smoothie. Choose your favourite type of lettuce; it can be a strong-tasting lettuce such as Batavia or endive. If you like it slightly spicy, add rocket salad to the smoothie. Depending on the size and capacity, chop the lettuce a little and add it to the other ingredients in the blender jug.
Now add the apple syrup or your chosen sweetener. Somewhat flavourless alternatives to apple syrup include agave syrup or dates. Stevia is also suitable for sweetening, and the green leaves of this sweetening herb add even more green to the green smoothie. However, they also have a rather intense flavour of their own, which greatly changes the taste of the smoothie. It is better to try them out beforehand to see if this flavour appeals to you.
Don't forget to close your blender tightly before you switch it on and blend all the ingredients at the highest setting for around one to two minutes to create a smooth, creamy smoothie.
Enjoy your smooth salad straight from a large glass after blending.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
After Eight
The creamy white flesh of the cherimoyas becomes even creamier when blended and gives the green smoothie a seductive, melt-in-the-mouth consistency. Flavoured with fresh green mint and complemented by the natural chocolate flavour of cocoa, the result is a dessert like you've never tasted before.
You have to try it!

- 1 large cherimoya with a few seeds
- 1 handful of fresh mint
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
(If possible, buy all ingredients in raw food and organic quality).
You will also need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie. And a little time and patience to core the cherimoya.
Preparing the green smoothie:
Cut the cherimoya in half, remove the stem and scoop the flesh out of the skin. Remove all the seeds, as these are not edible and must not be mixed into the smoothie. Depending on the cherimoya, this can be quite time-consuming, as some of the heavenly creamy fruits consist of more seeds than pulp, which is often very difficult to remove from the seeds. However, there are also fruits with fewer seeds. Unfortunately, this is not always easy to recognise from the outside. The larger fruits usually contain fewer seeds.
It is easier to remove the seeds when the cherimoya is not yet too soft, as the smooth, large black seeds can be removed more easily from the slightly firmer flesh. It is also advisable not to use overripe cherimoyas to colour the smoothie. This is because their flesh usually turns brown very quickly, which spoils both the appearance and the flavour of this green smoothie.
Use enough cherimoyas to fill the small blender jug of the Foodmatic Personal Blender to about a quarter of its capacity. That is about 200 millilitres, unmixed.
Pluck the fresh mint leaves from the stems and add them to the cherimoya pulp in the blender jug.
Blend both until you have a perfectly smooth, pale green cream. Remove a few tablespoons of the cream and set aside for a while. Add the cocoa powder to the remaining cream in the blender jug and blend again. This time the result should be a chocolate-brown cream.
Pour the creamy, minty chocolate cream into a glass. Spread the previously set aside white cream on top and serve the green smoothie garnished with a few mint leaves.
As a variation, you can also leave about half of the cream white and then pour the light and dark cream alternately in several layers into a glass.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Bear drink
A green smoothie is not necessarily defined by its colour. Rather, it is defined by its ingredients, which must include green leaves or vegetables. It doesn't matter whether these are culinary herbs, wild herbs, lettuce, spinach, broccoli or other green vegetables. In most cases, the amount of chlorophyll, the green pigment in the leaves, results in a more or less intensely green drink. But not always: at first glance, this bearish, berry-flavoured drink doesn't look anything like a green smoothie. This is due to the blackberries, whose dark purple colour overlays the green of the lemon balm. This is a very practical effect that you can utilise, for example, to carefully get your children used to the taste of green smoothies, or more precisely, green leaves.

- 1 ripe banana
- 1 handful of blackberries (fresh berries or frozen, defrosted)
- 1 tsp maca powder
- 1 handful of fresh lemon balm leaves
(If possible, choose raw and organic ingredients).
Preparation of the green smoothie:
Peel the skin off the banana. This is very easy to do with a ripe banana. The skin of the yellow fruit becomes thinner and softer as it ripens. A banana whose stem cannot be easily bent for peeling is most likely not yet ready to eat. This can be easily recognised by the colour of the peel: is the peel only just yellow, possibly still with green spots? Then the banana is definitely still too unripe and should be stored for a few more days, preferably together with already ripe bananas or other fruit such as apples or oranges. The skin of a ripe banana is completely yellow and has at least the first brown spots.
Peel the ripe banana and place it, roughly chopped, in the blender jug of your mixer or blender. Add the blackberries. You can use fresh or frozen blackberries. Depending on the performance of your blender, simply add frozen berries to the blender jug or, if you have a weaker appliance, defrost them first. Pluck the lemon balm leaves from the stems and add them, together with the maca powder, to the fruit in the blender jug. Blend all the ingredients together into a thick, smooth, creamy smoothie.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Christmas in a jar
Green and red, the colours of the Christmas season, can be found in this green smoothie. It is made from tropical fruits that ripen in southern Europe at this time of year and are also available in shops in Germany. Creamy cherimoyas with creamy white flesh are blended with green wheatgrass powder to make a green smoothie and decorated with the bright red, juicy seeds of the pomegranate. A hint of vanilla gives this smoothie a particularly tempting flavour.
Wheatgrass, the green in this green smoothie, can of course also be used fresh. Logically, you need fresh wheatgrass for this, which you can easily grow yourself in your kitchen from sprouted wheat grains. Juice the wheatgrass and add the juice to your green smoothies.
It is easier and less time-consuming to use wheatgrass powder, which also has a milder flavour. Unlike the very bitter-tasting fresh wheatgrass, the powder has an almost vanilla-like flavour. Even children often like it very much!
Despite the name, the pomegranate has nothing to do with our familiar apples. Although the shape is similar, when you try to bite into a pomegranate you will realise that the skin is much thicker and less tasty. If you cut open the pomegranate, you will find lots of red seeds inside, covered in pulp. It is these seeds that are eaten. You can safely eat the seeds inside.

- 1.5 to 3 cherimoyas (depending on the size of the fruit and number of seeds)
- 1 tsp wheatgrass powder
- 1 pinch of vanilla
- To decorate: 1 tbsp pomegranate seeds
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, as far as possible.)
The appliances:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie. I made this smoothie in the Personal Blender using the small blender jug as a measure.
How to prepare the green smoothie
First of all, you need to remove the seeds from the flesh of the cherimoyas. If possible, choose fruits that are low in seeds! Some cherimoyas have more seeds than flesh. Although these fruits usually taste very tasty, they are not so suitable for processing in a smoothie. To do this, cut the fruit in half, remove the stem and scoop the flesh out of the skin. If possible, use a spoon to expose the seeds and sort them out. As the inside of the seeds is not edible, you should not blend them in the smoothie! For one portion of this green smoothie, you need enough fruit pulp to fill the small blender jug of the Personal Blender three quarters full. That's just under 200 millilitres - measured BEFORE blending. Then add the wheatgrass powder and vanilla. Use the cross blade of the blender and blend the cherimoyas with the greens and vanilla to a smooth green cream. Serve the green smoothie in a nice, wide glass, decorated with bright red fresh pomegranate seeds.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Sesame and herb smoothie
Courgettes are the perfect base for green smoothies thanks to their consistency and rather neutral flavour. They can be combined with both sweet and savoury flavours and are the alternative of choice if you want to avoid the strong sweetness of bananas as a smoothie base. The vegetable fruits belong to the pumpkin family. Anyone who speaks Italian will recognise it from the name: Courgette means "small pumpkin". They are available in different varieties. The best known are probably the varieties in green, yellow and with light and dark green longitudinal stripes. Rarely, there are also creamy white courgettes. Like their larger relatives, courgettes can reach considerable dimensions and grow up to 40 cm long. However, the smaller fruits are tastier, which is why they are usually harvested earlier. Courgettes from regional cultivation are available in summer, from around June to September. The fruit available the rest of the year usually comes from Italy or Spain. Store fresh courgettes slightly chilled, preferably in the vegetable compartment of your fridge. They will keep there for around two to three weeks.

- 1 medium or two small courgettes
- 1 tbsp sesame puree
- 1 young garlic bulb with green on it (about the size of a spring onion)
- 1/2 cup fresh dill and fresh thyme
- 1/2 cup of water
- to taste: salt
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible).
Young garlic bulbs, with the green part attached, are rarely available commercially. This garlic has a much fresher flavour than the dried bulbs usually on offer. However, the green part in particular is also very pungent. If you can't get hold of this type of garlic, use one or two cloves of a normal garlic bulb as a substitute.
The utensils:
You will need a blender or mixerto prepare the green smoothie .
Preparation of the green smoothie:
Remove the stalk from the courgette, chop the vegetable fruit a little and put the pieces into the blender jug of your blender or mixer. Chop the garlic a little and put it in the blender jug too. Dill and thyme do not need to be chopped very finely. However, you should be careful not to put any stalks of dill that are too long into the blender jug, as these can otherwise easily wrap around the blades of the blender and block it. Strip off the thyme leaves and the smaller sprigs of dill and add both to the ingredients in the blender jug. Add the sesame puree, water and a pinch of salt to taste and blend everything together to make a creamy green smoothie.
Variation: omit the water from the recipe to obtain a thicker green cream. This version tastes delicious as a sauce with raw vegetable pasta or as a dip with chopped vegetables.

Snow white with a green tinge
White like cherimoya, red like strawberry and green like mint and avocado blend together in this green smoothie to create a delicate green and a stunning explosion of flavours on your tongue.
However, you first have to earn this feast for your senses. Cherimoyas are usually very rich in seeds, and these are firmly embedded in the flesh. Allow plenty of time for this.
Ripe cherimoyas taste deliciously creamy and are also called cream fruit or cream apple in some places because of their creamy, almost white flesh. They have a relatively thin, light green skin, which can be eaten, and many black, fairly large seeds. You can eat the seeds if you swallow them whole. However, you should not bite them, as the inside of the seeds is inedible, and therefore of course you should not chop them up in a blender.
The fruits are ripe when they feel soft when lightly pressed. The green skin then sometimes turns a light brownish colour. In this state, you should store the cherimoyas in the fridge for a maximum of one day or eat them straight away, as they will not keep for long. Unripe, still hard fruits ripen at a low room temperature or in the fridge. Cherimoyas go very well with strawberries - eaten together, the flavour is reminiscent of strawberries with whipped cream.

- 1/2 cup cherimoya pulp
- 3 strawberries
- 5 leaves of fresh mint (or more)
- 1/4 avocado
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible.)
The appliances:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare this green smoothie.
The preparation of the green smoothie:
Depending on how large or small, how rich or poor in seeds your cherimoyas are, you will need to deseed one or more cherimoyas until you have enough seedless flesh. To do this, cut the fruit in half, remove the stalk and use a sharp-edged teaspoon to remove the flesh from the seeds and peel.
Place the flesh of the cherimoya in the blender jug of your blender or mixer. Add the strawberries. You can also use the green leaves of the berries. Halve the avocado, remove the stone if necessary and spoon the flesh out of the skin into the blender jug with the other ingredients. Finally, add the fresh mint leaves. Depending on how much you love mint, you can add more than five leaves.
Blend everything into a creamy, pale green smoothie within half a minute to a minute. Serve the smoothie garnished with slices of strawberry and mint leaves.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Green muesli in a jar
Muesli in the morning gives you plenty of energy for the day! A little greenery makes a wholesome breakfast perfect. But salad with muesli? If this seems strange at first glance, try it this way: put all the muesli ingredients in the blender jug, add salad and blend everything into a green smoothie.
DenkRemember not to simply drink the green smoothie, but to chew every bite. Because digestion begins in the mouth! Although pureeing the ingredients saves you the work of chewing, it helps your digestion if you do it anyway! So that chewing is not so easily forgotten - and also because the drinkable muesli tastes even better this way - stir a few of the ingredients unmixed into the finished green smoothie.

- 1/2 cup sultanas
- 2 bananas
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 iceberg lettuce
- 1 tbsp buckwheat kernels
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible.)
The devices:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
The preparation of the green smoothie:
Soak the sultanas in water the evening before. Use good spring water and only just enough to cover the sultanas. Do not pour off the soaking water the next day!
Soak the buckwheat in water overnight to allow the seeds to germinate a little. Pour the soaked buckwheat through a sieve and rinse it thoroughly under running water to rinse off the mucilage that has formed during soaking.
Remove about 1 tbsp of the soaked sultanas and put them to one side. Also leave the buckwheat for now; it will not be mixed in.
Put the remaining soaked sultanas together with the soaking water into the blender jug of your mixer or blender.
Select two very ripe bananas for the green smoothie. The skin of the bananas should have the first brown spots. It is better to choose fruit whose skin already has many brown spots and whose flesh is slightly soft to the touch. This is because bananas are then really ripe and not only tastier but also much easier to digest than when they are unripe! Peel the bananas and add them to the sultanas and soaking water in the blender jug.
Add a little more water and the almond butter to the ingredients in the blender jug. Chop up the iceberg lettuce a little - depending on the power of your blender and the size of the blender jug, you may want to cut the head of lettuce into strips or separate the individual leaves and chop into smaller pieces, or, in a larger and more powerful blender, put the entire iceberg lettuce quarter into the blender at once.
Now that you have gathered all the ingredients in the blender, you are ready to go. Blend all the ingredients together to make a green smoothie, pour the delicious mixture into a glass, stir in the sultanas and sprouted buckwheat seeds and enjoy your smoothie muesli straight away!
Have fun preparing it and bon appétit!
Fruity-minty chocolate-without-chocolate
Both bananas and figs are among the most nutritious, filling fruits around. A glass of this smoothie will keep you full and satisfied for hours! The mint adds a touch of freshness to the sweet mixture.

- 2 very ripe bananas
- 8 dried figs
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1 handful of fresh mint leaves
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible)
The devices:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
The preparation of the green smoothie:
This green smoothie contains not the slightest hint of cocoa and yet tastes like chocolate. Fruity and minty - and chocolatey. Incidentally, that's what it looks like: chocolate brown! There is as little visual evidence of the green leaves it contains as there is of the fruit.
To make it a success, make sure you use very ripe bananas. They should not just be yellow. Not just have the first brown spots on the skin. No, ideally the bananas should be more brown than yellow and the flesh should already be very soft. As we all know, the starch in the yellow fruit is converted into sugar as it ripens, and the flesh, which was originally very firm, becomes softer and softer until it is almost liquid at some point. This is the perfect time to blend this banana smoothie!
Of course, you can also use fresh dark figs as an alternative. Otherwise, place the dried figs in a bowl with enough water to cover the fruit completely. The figs will absorb some of the water overnight and become so soft that you can easily puree them in a blender. Use the soaking water in the smoothie; it now contains some of the vital substances released from the figs and much of the sweet flavour of the delicious fruit.
So put the soaked figs WITH the soaking water into the blender jug of your blender or mixer. Open the skin of the bananas and add the flesh to the figs in the blender jug. The best way to do this with very ripe bananas is to cut the skin open lengthways and scoop out the soft flesh. Now add the mint leaves to the fruit. Depending on how liquid or If you prefer your smoothie green, add a little water.
Close the blender jug and blend all the ingredients on the highest setting for around 60 seconds to create a smooth, creamy drink.
Serve the smoothie garnished with mint leaves and/or quartered figs.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Persimmon in green
Green and creamy, like fruity, exotic cream - that's how a green smoothie should taste!
Moringa grows in tropical and subtropical climates. You will hardly find fresh leaves in this country. Fortunately, however, you can get the dried leaves as Moringa powder. Look out for dried produce at low temperatures (below 42° C), in which the majority of the vital substances are still preserved.
The healthy greens in this green smoothie are exotically packed in persimmon, flavoured with a hint of fresh ginger. You can recognise ripe persimmons by their jam-like consistency. The really ripe fruits are so soft that they are almost impossible to transport. Fortunately, however, they can be harvested a little earlier and then ripen well if stored in a cool and not too dry place. Avocado and coconut oil ensure a creamy consistency and healthy fats in the green smoothie.

- 1 persimmon
- 1/4 avocado
- 1/4 tsp moringa powder
- 1 piece of ginger
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp coconut oil
(All ingredients in raw food and organic quality, as far as possible.)
The appliances:
You will need a blender or mixer to prepare the green smoothie.
The preparation of the green smoothie:
Remove the leaves from the persimmon and place the fruit completely in the blender jug of your blender or mixer. Remove the stone from the avocado, scoop the flesh out of the skin and add it to the persimmon in the blender jug. The moringa powder should now also be added to the blender. Add the piece of ginger, the water and the coconut oil and blend all the ingredients in 30 to 60 seconds to a creamy, thick consistency.
Variations: Try the green smoothie with other greens. The mixture with wheatgrass powder, for example, is delicious. The smoothie is particularly fresh if you use freshly collected wild greens. Choose mild-flavoured leaves such as those of the lime tree.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Plantain in a smoothie
Not all bananas are the same! If you look at the displays in supermarkets or organic food shops with the same range of fruit bananas, it's hard to imagine, but there are actually over 1000 known banana varieties worldwide. These include a large number of different fruit bananas - in addition to the Cavendish bananas sold everywhere in Central Europe, for example, the small apple and apple fig bananas - and many more. There are also various different vegetable bananas, which are often sold as cooked bananas, as it is widely believed that they are only edible when cooked. However, this is not the case: plantains, which are a staple food in many African and Asian countries, can also be eaten raw. However, they must be really ripe for this. In this case, a yellow skin indicates that the banana is not yet ready to eat. As ripening progresses, the skin becomes darker and discoloured until it is almost black. Meanwhile, the flesh becomes softer and sweeter. As every banana variety tastes different, and the flavour of vegetable bananas in particular differs significantly from that of the familiar fruit bananas, this smoothie naturally also tastes completely different.
The blend of coconut and vegetable banana is delicately green, vanilla-flavoured and incredibly tempting. It is added to the green smoothie in powder form thanks to wheatgrass. Fascinatingly, once dried and pulverised, wheatgrass takes on a very special, mild and somehow vanilla-like taste.

- 1 handful of ripe coconut
- 2 plantains
- 1 tbsp wheatgrass powder
- 1/2 cup water
(All ingredients in raw food and organic quality, if possible)
The appliances:
To prepare the green smoothie, you will need the Vitamix or a comparably powerful blender.
The preparation of the green smoothie:
Open the coconut by first piercing the easy-to-open eye on the top of the nut and drinking out the juice it contains (or decanting it into a glass). Now you can open the shell with a hammer or a heavy knife, for example: To do this, hammer vigorously on an imaginary line around the centre of the coconut (the equator) until the shell cracks open. Now you can remove the flesh from the shell using a strong knife.
Cut the flesh of the coconut into smaller pieces. Place the lid on the blender jug of your Vitamix, remove the centre insert, switch on the blender and run it on medium speed (4 to 6) while you feed the coconut pieces through the filler opening in the lid. The pieces land on the rotating blades and are processed into rasps.
Switch off the blender. Peel the plantains and add the flesh to the grated coconut in the blender jug. Add the wheatgrass powder and water and blend everything on the highest setting to create a smooth green smoothie.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Chocolate shake
What looks like pure chocolate in a glass is actually full of green! This green smoothie contains several cups of spinach leaves! Well camouflaged thanks to dark berries and cocoa, this chocolate shake is ideal for beginners in the world of green smoothies, who are otherwise often somewhat suspicious of dark green drinks.
In terms of both taste and colour, blackberries are best suited to this green smoothie. If you have the opportunity, be sure to pick them yourself and only choose very ripe berries. These are rarely available commercially because they are almost impossible to pick when they are really ripe.
Cocoa and carob, nature's true chocolate fruits, make the smoothie really chocolaty. Carob, also known as carob pods, are the fruit of the carob tree. Elongated, chocolate-brown pods that are completely edible. However, the small seeds are very hard and should either be spat out or swallowed whole. In this recipe, we use carob ground to a powder, without the seeds. We also use the cocoa beans in powder form. The beans also grow in pods, albeit much larger ones. When fresh, they are surrounded by a thin layer of pulp. However, only the dried beans are ground for the cocoa powder.

- 1/2 cup water
- 3 cups spinach
- 1 tbsp maca powder
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp carob powder
- 2 tbsp agave syrup
- 2 cups frozen dark berries
- 1/2 cup frozen banana
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible)
The appliances:
To prepare a green smoothie, you will need the Vitamix or a similarly powerful blender.
The preparation of the green smoothie:
For most green smoothies, you can simply throw all the ingredients into the blender jug at once and blend them into a smooth drink. However, this chocolate shake works better if you blend it together in two steps:
Firstly, put the water and spinach leaves into the blender jug. Switch on the blender and process both into a smooth green liquid. Add the cocoa powder, maca powder and carob powder. Add the agave syrup to the blender jug and blend all the ingredients on the highest setting for about 40 seconds.
Finally, add the frozen berries and frozen banana to the mixture in the blender jug. Switch the blender on again, quickly increase the setting to the highest level and blend everything into a thick, smooth chocolate shake. This should take no longer than 40 to 50 seconds. The frozen fruit not only provides flavour and colour, but also gives the chocolate green smoothie a wonderfully thick, creamy consistency.
Divide the smoothie between two glasses and garnish with berries and cocoa nibs as desired.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Beam me up
Green and cocoa - they go really well together. The two meet in this green smoothie and provide double the power! Edible green leaves, whether from wild herbs, salads or aromatic herbs, are without a doubt one of the world's true superfoods.

- 1 cup <a target="_self" title="To the Dr. Goerg grated coconut" href="/dr.-goerg-kokosraspeln/">grated coconut
- 2 bananas
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 9 Deglet dates
- 1/2 tsp maca powder
- 1/2 handful of mint
- 1 handful of ice cubes
(All ingredients in raw food and organic quality, as far as possible.)
The appliances:
To prepare a green smoothie, you will need the Vitamix or a similarly powerful blender.
Preparing the green smoothie:
To prepare this green smoothie, pit the Deglet dates the day before and soak them in water. The dates should be completely covered by the water, but more water is not necessary. Peel the bananas and place them in your blender jug together with the grated coconut. Also add the dates with the soaking water, the cocoa powder, the maca powder and the mint and blend everything at the highest speed to a smooth green smoothie.
Finally, add the ice cubes and blend them into the smoothie.

Moringaccino
As with many other green smoothies, you will need frozen bananas for this cappuccino variant. It is best to always have a supply of them in the freezer. Peel the bananas and cut them into one to two cm thick slices. Freeze the banana slices in a suitable tin or freezer bag so that you can take them out whenever you need them.
A small cup of the highly nutritious green smoothie is all you need for a snack between meals.

- 4 dates Deglet
- 1/2 tsp Moringa powder
- 1/2 tsp cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp carob powder
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp almond puree
- 1 frozen banana
- 10 blackberries (fresh or frozen)
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible.)
The appliances:
To prepare a green smoothie, you will need a Vitamix or a comparably powerful blender.
The preparation of the green smoothie:
Preparations:
Pit the Deglet dates the evening before and soak them in water. Use enough water to cover the dates completely, but no more. If you don't have any frozen bananas in stock, peel the bananas and cut them into one to two cm thick pieces. Now freeze the banana pieces in a suitable tin or freezer bag overnight.
Firstly, prepare the "milk" for your green cappuccino: place the almond puree and water in the blender jug and blend both together at the highest setting for around half a minute to a minute.
Leave the blended almond milk in the blender jug and add the soaked dates together with the soaking water. Add the moringa powder, cocoa powder and carob powder and mix everything together, again for about 30 to 60 seconds.
In the final step, add the blackberries and the frozen banana in pieces to the delicious mixture in the blender jug. Switch the blender on again, quickly increase the setting to the highest level and blend for another 30 seconds, or until the frozen banana pieces are blended. Thanks to the berries and frozen banana, the green smoothie should now have a thick, creamy consistency - and of course a wonderfully fruity flavour.
Divide the moringaccino between two coffee cups. Before serving, decorate each cup with a blackberry and sprinkle with a touch of cocoa powder or carob powder.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Curry and herb smoothie with banana
What's the first thing that comes to mind when you want to prepare a green smoothie? Exactly: bananas and green vegetables. Doesn't that get boring in the long run? Not at all. Because bananas can be combined in many different ways and don't always have to be processed into sweet dishes (or drinks)!
For example, as in this recipe, they can also be perfectly combined with hot exotic spices such as ginger and turmeric. Together with a spicy curry mixture and enriched with creamy cashew nuts, which support the interesting blend of flavours, you get an exotic green smoothie that you can enjoy as a drink, as a creamy soup, as a dip with celery, mango or bananas, or as a dressing for salad or spinach.

- 1/2 cup cashew nuts, with or without skin
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp curry powder (hot or sweet, as you prefer)
- 1 piece of ginger, approx. 1/2 cm
- 1 piece of turmeric, approx. 1/3 cm
- 1 cup of fresh herbs, for example dill, thyme and coriander
- 1 banana
(Whenever possible, choose raw and organic ingredients).
The devices:
To prepare this green smoothie, you will need a Vitamix or a similarly powerful blender.
Preparing the green smoothie:
Soak the cashew nuts in plenty of water the evening before you plan to prepare them. If you are using cashew nuts with skin, you can easily peel them off after soaking.
The next day, pour off the soaking water and drain the cashew nuts thoroughly in a sieve before placing them in the blender jug. Add the water, (hot or sweet) curry powder, ginger and turmeric.
If you can't get fresh turmeric, use dried, ground turmeric powder as a substitute. The same applies to ginger, here too you can use ground dry ginger as a substitute. However, the smoothie tastes much better with fresh spices! Nowadays you can easily find ginger in organic shops or supermarkets. If you can't find fresh turmeric there, try the Asian supermarket! Chop the herbs a little. Shorten long stems in particular so that they cannot get wrapped around the blades of the blender. Add the slightly chopped herbs to the ingredients in the blender.
Peel the banana and add it to the blender jug. Vary the amount of banana and, depending on the desired sweetness, use half a banana, a whole banana or, for a larger, more liquid drink, two bananas. The less banana you use, the thicker the cream will be. The degree of ripeness of the banana used also influences the consistency, as very ripe bananas blend more smoothly than less ripe fruit.
Switch on the blender, quickly increase the blending power to the highest level and blend all the ingredients into a thick, smooth smoothie in one to two minutes.
Serve the smoothie in a glass as a drink, in a bowl as a dip or as a dressing over your salad.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Herb and cheese cream
Smooth, translated into German means: smooth, gentle, soft ... In the blender, the ingredients for the smoothie are smoothed to a certain extent. This is particularly pleasant with greens that are often rich in fibre, such as celery stalks or cabbage leaves.
But green smoothies don't always have to be drinkable! They also look good as a smooth paté and enrich the dinner table, for example. Vegetables coated with this green paté still offer the (slightly) satisfying chewiness of sliced root vegetables, for example, combined with the benefits of celery stalks, which are more difficult to eat in their whole form. Serve the cream as a spread on small vegetable sandwiches or as a dip to dip into chopped vegetables.

- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 stalk of celery with leaves
- 1 handful of fresh parsley
- 1 handful of fresh dill
- Salt to taste
- Vegetables of your choice, e.g. tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, beetroot ...
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, if possible.)
The devices:
To prepare this green smoothie, you will need the Vitamix or a comparably powerful blender.
The preparation of the green smoothie:
Preparing this paté doesn't take much work, but it does require a few hours' waiting time during soaking. Firstly, soak the sunflower seeds in plenty of water overnight. The seeds will start to germinate.
The next day, pour off the soaking water and place the well-drained seeds in the blender jug. Add a little water. Chop the celery stalk and add the pieces together with the celery leaves and herbs to the seeds in the blender jug. Add a little salt to taste and blend all the ingredients at the highest speed to a smooth cream.
Pour the cream into a bowl, cover and leave to stand at room temperature for 24 hours.
The herb and cheese cream is ready the next day!
Chop the vegetables of your choice - e.g. Carrots, beetroot, cucumber or tomatoes - in slices. Spread herb and cheese cream on one slice of vegetable at a time and cover with another slice of vegetable.
The mini cheese sandwiches are ready! A dish that will not only go down well with raw foodists! Serve them on the party buffet or on the family dinner table.
Have fun preparing them and bon appétit!
Green hummus
This hummus is a simple, creamy and flavourful dish made from just a few ingredients that takes hardly any work, but for which you still need to plan a little extra time. Waiting time - because the main ingredient of this green smoothie, the chickpeas, must be soaked before processing.

- 1 cup dried raw chickpeas
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup of fresh herbs of your choice, e.g. dill, parsley, basil
(All ingredients in raw and organic quality, as far as possible).
The appliances
To prepare this green smoothie, you will need the Vitamix or a comparable high-performance blender.
The preparation:
Start the first preparations two and a half days before you want to serve the hummus!
Firstly, soak the chickpeas in plenty of fresh water. The dried pulses swell up a lot, so use enough water and a sufficiently large bowl. Change the soaking water every 12 hours while you leave the chickpeas to soak for 48 hours. The chickpeas will become larger, softer and start to germinate.
At the end of the 48 hours, pour off the soaking water and rinse the chickpeas thoroughly under running water.
Place the now soft, sprouted pulses in the blender jug. Add the water and the chopped herbs. You don't have to cut the herbs really finely, but you should make sure that there are no long stalks that could wrap around the blades of the blender and block it when blending.
Blend all the ingredients in the blender jug at the highest setting for around two minutes until you have a thick paste. Thanks to the herbs it contains, the porridge should have a pale green colour. Flavour the mixture with a little salt to taste. Use sea salt or Himalayan salt.
Then pour the mixture into a bowl or plastic container. Cover the hummus and leave it to stand at room temperature for around six to eight hours.
Enjoy the preparation and bon appétit!
Green smoothie "Dawn"
This green smoothie tastes very sweet due to the plum juice used. It easily surpasses the rather bitter flavour of black cabbage.

- 15 plums
- 50g cashew nuts
- 150g black cabbage
- 600ml plum juice
Be sure to wash and deseed the plums. If you do not have a high-performance blender, it is a good idea to soak the cashew nuts for several hours before using them in this green smoothie. Remove the lower, hard part of the stalk from the washed black cabbage. Of course, you can also use plums from a jar and their juice for your green smoothie "Morgenrot". However, these are usually sugared and, above all, not available in raw food quality. Place all the ingredients in your blender in the order listed.
Green smoothie "Hello awake!"

- 2 small, sweet apples
- 4 tbsp brown wild millet
- 140g black cabbage
- 2 tsp agave syrup
- 500ml water
Place the ingredients in your blender in the order listed. If you have a high-performance blender, you can easily put the apples in the container with their skin and core. Remove the lower, hard part of the stalk from the washed black cabbage. The agave syrup gives this green smoothie a pleasant sweetness. The wild millet used makes this green smoothie a good breakfast substitute, it is rather firm in consistency and has a filling effect.
Green smoothie "Lotus blossom"

Postelein is also known as "plate herb" or "winter purslane" and is available during the cold season. For the "lotus blossom" green smoothie, combine it with exotic fruit.
Use one litre of this green smoothie:
- 1 orange
- 2 bananas
- 70g Postelein
- 400ml water
- 2 geh. tsp maca powder
Place the ingredients in your blender in the order given. Peel the orange and bananas and wash the postelein. The maca powder gives your green smoothie a slightly nutty flavour.
Green smoothie "Isarauen"

- 1 pear
- 100g Postelein
- 600ml water
- 2 tsp walnut oil
Postelein is also known as "plate herb" or "winter purslane" and is available during the cold season. Combined with pear and walnut oil, you get a delicious, wintery green smoothie. Place the ingredients in your blender in the order listed. If you have a high-performance blender, you can easily put the pear, including the skin and core, into the container. Wash the Postelein well.
Green smoothie "cocoa clementines"
The combination of cocoa and clementines makes this green smoothie perfect for the winter season.

- 50g cocoa butter
- 550ml water
- 4 clementines
- 200g chard
Firstly, place the cocoa butter and water in your high-performance blender. Blend until the cocoa butter is processed into small pieces. Stop the blender and add the peeled clementines and chard. Remove the stalk from the chard and wash it well. Then blend the cocoa butter water with the clementines and chard to finalise this green smoothie.
Green smoothie "Chocolate banana"
Transforming a sweet dish into a green smoothie usually tastes particularly good. This is also the case with this "Chocolate banana" green smoothie, whose flavour immediately reminds you of a trip to the fair.

- 85g cocoa
- 550ml water
- 3 bananas
- 280g chard
First put the cocoa and water into your high-speed blender. Blend until the cocoa has dissolved without any lumps. Stop the blender and now add the peeled bananas and chard. Remove the stalk from the chard and wash it well. Then blend the cocoa water with the bananas and chard to finish this green smoothie.
Green smoothie "Smoothie love"
This green smoothie is so quick to make that you can't help but love it!

- 4 kiwis
- 8 tsp goji berries
- 100g Postelein

Place the kiwis in your blender with the goji berries and the washed postelein and water. Postelein is also known as "plate cabbage" or "winter purslane" and is available during the cold season. This makes it the perfect counterpart to kiwis. The goji berries add an extra flavour to this green smoothie.
Green smoothie "Evening sun"
Kale is a very suitable green for green smoothies in the cold season.

- 2 bananas
- 2 passion fruit
- 140g kale
- 500ml water
- 2 geh. teaspoon lucuma powder
Peel the bananas and halve the passion fruit. Be careful - the very liquid contents will quickly escape from the fruit. It is therefore best to cut it open carefully over the container of your blender and use a tablespoon to scrape out the rest of the seeds. Make sure you wash the kale well and preferably buy it in organic quality. A high-performance blender can process the hard stalk, but your green smoothie will taste much better if you remove it first and only use the leaves without the stalk. The lucuma powder adds a hint of caramel to this wintery, exotic green smoothie.
