Sowing:

Soak the sprouting seeds in water for approx. 8-10 hours, then rinse and sow evenly in a sprouter. Water the seed 2-3 times a day until germination is complete. Ready to eat in 4-6 days. Rinse the sprouts well before eating. The sprouts can also be frozen and eaten later.

I use a sprouting jar. How long do I have to wait with this form of sprout cultivation before I can eat broccoli sprouts from the organic sprouting seeds?

Remove a portion of organic sprouting seeds from the packaging. Place the organic broccoli sprouts in your sprouting jar and leave the broccoli seeds to soak in water for about 4 hours. The water should be about 25 °C warm. To maintain a constant temperature during soaking, we recommend placing the sprouting jar in a warm place. After soaking the broccoli seeds, drain the water and place the sprouting jar with the sieve at an angle so that the remaining liquid can drip off. Now rinse the organic sprouted seeds once or twice a day. Your sprouts should be about 2 to 3 cm tall after 5 days. Now you can use the delicious organic sprouted seeds in a tasty salad or enjoy them on their own.

Can the organic sprouted broccoli seeds or sprouts mould? Keimlinge go mouldy?

This is possible under certain circumstances. However, you should never add chemicals to your sprout cultivation to prevent mould. The young sprouts can absorb chemical residues and transport them into your organism via your food. There are a few simple rules to prevent the sprouts from going mouldy. After each sprout cultivation, the containers in which the sprouted seeds were developed must be thoroughly cleaned. It should be noted that potential bacteria, germs or traces of fungi must be removed. Once the sprouting containers have been thoroughly cleaned, the main source of contamination has already been eliminated. We recommend using clean and fresh water for rinsing. It is better to rinse once more often than once too little. If you often discover mould in your cultures, you should pay attention to the ambient temperature; at 37°C there is an increased risk of bacteria or fungal infestation. It is often enough to let the sprouts grow a little cooler. If you ever have a sprout crop in which you discover mould or bacterial infestation, please dispose of the young sprouts. Keimlinge.
