Affordable and clean solution for your daily water

Even though our drinking water is supposed to be well tested and safe, the sales of bottled water companies are increasing year on year. If you still drink bottled water or don't trust the water quality, then we have an inexpensive and clean solution for you: activated carbon block filters! In addition to the well-known systems from Carbonit, we recommend the Alvito devices because they have impressed us with their improved materials, a wider range of filter inserts and the option of equipping these filters with swirlers.

Spring water quality with activated carbon filters

Activated carbon block filters remove many unwanted substances where it is most important: where water is not used for washing or garden sprinkling, but where it enters our bodies as food. Waterworks cannot come close to achieving the retention values of activated carbon blocks with their capabilities, not to mention the substances that enter the drinking water through transport in pipes. Filtering makes the water taste better overall, fresher and, with the optional use of a water swirler, it tastes as if it has just been bottled from a spring. The drinking water source in the kitchen is the motto.

Simple installation with high-quality material

It can be connected to all standard taps and mixer taps. The exception is if a non-pressurised boiler (low-pressure boiler) or non-pressurised instantaneous water heater is installed under the sink and if the tap has a hose spray. To install, simply unscrew the strainer outlet from the tap and screw on a special diverter valve. If the lever of this valve is horizontal, the water is forced to pass through the filter. If it is vertical, the water can be tapped as usual without filtering. If a tap has an unusual thread, suitable adapters are available as accessories.

The Alvito countertop filter is supplied complete with diverter valve, premium silicone flex hose and an adapter for standard taps with an M24 female thread.

The hose can be shortened and easily adjusted to the desired length, depending on the distance to the tap. Where other filter manufacturers use chrome-plated copper pipes, the Alvito countertop filter has a stainless steel outlet pipe with an M22 thread (suitable for connecting a water swirler) and a matching stainless steel holder with a fixation that prevents the outlet pipe from slipping out.

Advantages of activated carbon filters

Compared to reverse osmosis filter systems, water from Alvito filters retains its natural composition of minerals such as calcium, magnesium and potassium. However, if these minerals previously shimmered in different colours in your kettle, you will notice that the deposited limescale is snow-white when the water is filtered. In combination with a vitaliser or swirler, it also has a different structure and kettles, for example, need to be descaled less frequently and the limescale no longer adheres so firmly to the material. Subjectively, even very calcareous, swirled water is perceived as "softer" and "easier to drink".

The right filter for every need

Filter inserts can be freely selected from four variants and, like the water swirlers, are not included in the scope of delivery. Our recommendation is the ABF Primus EM cartridge, which we found to have the best flavour. If you have limescale problems or need a higher flow rate of filtered water, you will also find what you are looking for. Incidentally, the water swirler is compatible with all filter inserts. This smart system was developed in Korea, where the appliance is also built. The inventors have achieved a masterpiece with the innovative design of a sieve holder and three different inserts (fine juice, smoothie, puree).
