Product information "Golden linseed, sprouted, organic 400 g"
Golden linseed: Very good source of omega-3
Linseeds are characterised by their mild, slightly nutty flavour and are a real enrichment for the daily diet. Compared to the more well-known brown linseeds, golden linseeds have a somewhat milder flavour. They contain a high proportion of omega-3 fatty acids, especially the valuable alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). With 21.9 g ALA per 100 g, this has been shown to help maintain normal blood cholesterol levels*. The small seeds are also rich in fibre, vitamins and magnesium.
Sprouted linseed - living nutrients through the germination process
Our golden linseeds are refined through a special germination process that makes them particularly valuable. During germination, the seed is "activated" by soaking it in water. This process causes the stored nutrients to be released and made more easily available to the body. It also breaks down the phytic acid. The breakdown of starch produces short-chain sugar molecules, which give the linseed a pleasant, slightly sweet flavour. After germination, the linseed is gently dried and crushed to restore its flowability - perfect for versatile use in the kitchen. By the way: As our linseed is planed, it has a particularly long shelf life.
Crushed linseed: Versatile use
The golden linseed comes from certified organic cultivation and is processed in raw food quality, which means that it has never been heated above 45 °C in order to retain all of its valuable nutrients. They are ideal as an ingredient for morning muesli, in shakes and smoothies or as a crunchy topping on salads. No matter how you use them - with these linseeds you enrich your diet in a natural way.
Try our sprouted organic golden linseeds now and do something good for your body every day!
*ALA contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. To benefit from this, consume 1 tablespoon daily (approx. 2 g ALA).
