Cranberries with no added sugar - naturally sweetened
Cranberries, also known as cranberries, were already highly valued by the indigenous people of North America. In this country, the small red berries and cranberry juice are extremely popular. Keimling Cranberries are unsulphured* and sweetened with apple juice - without industrial sugar! This gives them a pleasantly naturally sweet taste and allows the cranberry flavour to fully develop.
- Cranberries sweetened with apple juice concentrate
- Unsulphured (in accordance with EU organic regulations)
- Fruity-tart, slightly sweet and juicy
- Also known as cranberries, cranberries or craneberries
Dried cranberries are a hit in many recipes
Cranberries have now also become a real star among dried fruits in Europe. The cranberry - as it is also known - has a fruity, bitter and tart flavour. This is why cranberries are mostly sold sweetened. The berries owe their bitter taste to the proanthocyanidins - colourless bitter substances that are secondary plant substances.
Cranberry recipes are very diverse: dried cranberries are particularly suitable for muesli, porridge, smoothies, salad toppings, desserts or baking. The berry is also a favourite snack for young and old.
Cranberries - harvesting and processing
Our cranberries come from the best growing regions in Canada. We only use ripe, top-quality fruit from organic cultivation. The harvest is particularly impressive: the fields are flooded, bringing the berries to the surface. Now the cranberries can be collected with the help of nets.
After washing, the cranberries are cut and soaked in an apple juice solution. After drying, the fruits are sprayed with a touch of sunflower oil to prevent them from sticking together. The maximum temperature during processing is approx. 99°C).
Did you know that...
... the cranberry is not related to the lingonberry, but to blueberries?
... cranberries are as popular in North America as apples are here?
... the name cranberry is derived from the English word for crane? The flowers resemble the beak of a crane.

Granberries

GOOD IN MUESLI
A handful of cranberries a day keeps the Doctor away!! I like baking with them or in soups or just eat them by the handfuls. They keep very well and taste good, not too sweet or too sour!
