Our dried bananas are a real superfood. They contain important minerals such as magnesium and potassium. Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function and electrolyte balance, while potassium helps to maintain normal blood pressure and also supports muscle function. They are also an excellent source of vitamin B6, which helps to reduce tiredness and fatigue.

Dried raw bananas - ideal for on the go

Whether in the office, at school or on a hike, dried bananas are the perfect companion. They are easy to transport and provide a quick, healthy source of energy. Gentle drying without direct sunlight on special condensation dryers preserves the valuable ingredients and natural flavour. Compliance with the strict raw food criteria is checked by an independent body and ultimately confirmed with the "really-raw" certificate. It is particularly worth emphasising that our bananas are harvested and transported in the early hours of the morning to avoid the high local temperatures.

Buying dried bananas - fair and sustainable

The hand-cut bananas are processed directly on site, which creates long-term jobs and secures a fair income for the small farmers. The producer families in this project mainly grow food for their own needs and sell the surplus. Our partner pays the farmers fair prices that are above the local market price.

How are bananas dried?

The bananas are dried under controlled conditions using a special condensation dryer. Whenever available, specially generated solar power is used for operation. The very slow, gentle drying process at a maximum of 45 °C ensures that both the nutrients and the sweet flavour of the bananas are optimally preserved.

Are dried bananas healthy?

Dried bananas are an ideal substitute for sugared, overly sweet snacks. They are particularly rich in magnesium and potassium, which makes them particularly interesting for athletes and very active people. The high-fibre fruits also make a great snack for children. Last but not least, they are a very good source of vitamin B6, which is needed for the normal functioning of the immune system and our energy metabolism and can help to reduce tiredness and fatigue.

What is the difference to banana chips?

Unlike banana chips, our bananas are cut into strips and are soft and juicy. They come from sweet baby bananas with a very special flavour. They are also free from any additives and offer 100% fruit flavour.
