The best side effect is that no new resources are consumed in the production of the cover. The light blue cover of the water filter is made from 100% used PET bottles. The problem of general pollution from these water bottles, which you will never have to buy again if you use the source, is well known. Before PET bottles from rivers, oceans, collection points or mountains of rubbish are recycled, they are sorted by colour. After cleaning and shredding, the so-called flakes are produced, which are ultimately processed into the fibres from which the felt mats are made. Without any adhesives or additives, the fibres are then pressed into the right shape under pressure and heat.
The best thing about this innovative material is that it is easy to recycle. This means that nothing is lost and mountains of waste do not continue to grow.
Each protective cover is unique and is made by hand in a small factory in southern Hungary. Naturally, there may be slight variations in fibre structure and colour from cover to cover.
