Since 1984, we in Buxtehude - close to the Altes Land near Hamburg - have been shipping mainly certified organic, raw vegan food and equipment for a healthy, raw vegan lifestyle throughout Europe. Our founder Winfried Holler is a committed natural foodie through and through. He is convinced that health and holistic well-being can only be achieved through a diet of unprocessed and unheated natural products.
He came to this realisation as a 14-year-old when his mother turned to a wholefood diet. And he soon organised his entire life around it. Over 38 years ago, he turned his conviction into a vocation and initially opened a small health food shop in the centre of Buxtehude - long before raw food, organic and vegan nutrition became lifestyle trends.
Since then, the demand for healthy and unprocessed food has emerged from its niche and become a real trend. In recent years in particular, the consumption of organic products has once again skyrocketed: Organic food simply tastes better, is more sustainable and healthier.
Interesting fact: It has been proven that organically grown food contains more vitamins and minerals than conventional food and is significantly less contaminated with chemical pesticide residues.
This is because the use of synthetic pesticides is not permitted in organic farming. Instead, old varieties of fruit, vegetables and cereals are grown again, which are significantly more resistant. By not using these pesticides, we not only protect the food, but also the environment, which has a positive effect on the preservation of biodiversity. Through regular in-house analyses with strict internal limits, we also ensure that our products contain as few pesticide residues as possible.

Raw food quality is the highest and most demanding quality of food - from cultivation, processing and transport to our customers, the heat-sensitive vitamins, trace elements and minerals in the food are preserved in the best possible way. As a team from the fields of ecotrophology, nutritional counselling and raw food, we have enjoyed working together for many years and also know our customers quite well - with their taste preferences and also with many a personal path to a raw food diet. We want to encourage a plant-based, mindful diet through personal contact, in-depth dialogue and advice as well as regular seminars on fasting and raw food nutrition.
Fact: Additives are not used in Keimling natural foods do not contain any additives, with a few exceptions. We avoid them whenever possible. We are actually even stricter than the organic standard.

Organic pioneer since 1984
Winfried Holler - who is also a co-initiator of the "really-raw association", an organisation that controls and certifies raw food products - has managed to develop an authentic range in a very sensitive market over the past 38 years and to inspire more and more people to adopt a raw vegan lifestyle. To this day, we are independent and owner-managed and our own products stand for the highest raw vegan quality; organic and HACCP certifications are a matter of course. We maintain very close and personal contact with our partners and suppliers and have optimised our supply chains together. Regionality and the associated strong regional commitment are very important to us. For example, we source our fresh linseed oil exclusively from an oil mill in the immediate region.
Busy years followed, during which work was done on the concept of product development and the raw food supply chain, investments were made and close partnerships were forged. "We are proud of our now very broad range, which stands for quality and special moments of pleasure," explains Winfried Holler. The natural food mail order company and the RohAkademie, which has been in existence since 2006, are matters close to his heart. "A vegan lifestyle and raw food will soon be part of everyday life in our society as a matter of course" - a prediction that is based on Winfried Holler's many years of experience, as the development of high-quality raw vegan food has been driving him forward for decades: "Raw vegan food and high-quality food supplements are good for three things - our well-being, small and medium-sized local producers, such as our linseed oil suppliers, and not least our environment."
