A busy schedule, a long day at the office or the start of an exciting adventure: travelling can be a real challenge when it comes to healthy eating. After all, you don't have your own kitchen and the food on offer at airports or railway stations is often not very fresh or healthy. And especially when we are travelling, we feel an irresistible craving for something small to eat and are tempted by unhealthy snacks. But don't worry when the snack craving kicks in! We can also eat a healthy and balanced diet when we're out and about.
Snacks are popular when there is no opportunity for a "proper" meal. They are practical for bridging the gap and can satisfy small hunger pangs in between meals.
A healthy diet consists not only of main meals, but also of snacks. But what is handy, easy to prepare and can survive longer journeys without refrigeration? There are many meal prep snacks made from fresh salads, smoothies or dried fruit that are easy to take with you and can be eaten on the go:

Nuts, seeds and dried fruit are the perfect companions on the go. Mixtures of almonds, cashews, sunflower seeds, sultanas and dried berries - according to individual taste - provide energy, a good portion of vitamins, healthy fats and minerals for in-between meals. And compared to sugary products, a nut mix keeps you feeling full for much longer.
