Healthy for body and nature - how to buy raw food sustainably
Raw food promotes health and sustainability by preserving nutrients and saving energy. Keimling Naturkost supports this with organic cultivation, regional products and compostable packaging to minimise environmental impact.
In a world that is increasingly characterised by hectic and artificiality, raw food reminds us of the essence of life. As Keimling Naturkost, we are pioneers of a raw vegan lifestyle. Since our foundation, we have been committed to ensuring that people can enjoy healthy and natural food. Sustainability is one of our key concerns. Choosing a raw vegan diet in particular makes a valuable contribution to the environment and the preservation of our planet.
The essence of nature
Raw food is the most natural and resource-conserving form of nutrition. As the food is neither heated nor processed, it retains its full nutrient content - a gift from nature in its purest form. There is no energy required for preparation and no packaging waste, making raw food the diet with the lowest environmental impact. All our raw food products come from controlled organic cultivation: no pesticides, no genetic engineering, just the earth, the sun and the rain, which produce life in harmonious interaction. In this way, we support natural, organic farming that protects the soil and groundwater.
In harmony with the seasons
One of the most important measures for sustainable consumption is to favour regional and seasonal products. Fruit and vegetables from the local area have significantly shorter transport routes behind them and therefore cause fewerCO2 emissions. By buying regional produce, we also support local agriculture, which works in harmony with nature. Seasonal fruit and vegetables grow to the rhythm of the seasons, without elaborate greenhouses or long periods of storage. It is the essence of nature in its purest form. And we also make a contribution here: for example, we source our fresh linseed oil exclusively from an oil mill in the region.
Shopping without packaging
In addition to the selection of sustainable and regional products, packaging is also a decisive factor for environmentally friendly consumption. At Keimling Naturkost, we have risen to this challenge: Our world first is a resealable, garden-compostable packaging made from FSC-certified paper, cellulose and GMO-free starch - 100 per cent free from harmful substances and plastic. This innovative packaging not only offers a high oxygen and water vapour barrier for optimum product protection, but is also fully compostable. After extensive testing and laboratory analyses, we can confirm the quality and functionality of our sustainable packaging solution. Disposing of our compostable packaging is also very easy: simply peel off the label and dispose of it in the residual waste. The bag itself can be disposed of in your home compost, where it will decompose completely and without harmful substances within around 180 days.
If you do not have your own compost, the packaging can also be disposed of in the yellow bag or in the recycling bin. Regardless of where it is disposed of, our packaging does not cause any damage, does not produce any microplastics and protects fossil raw materials and the environment.
With conscious consumption, we can do a lot of good for our health and make a valuable contribution to environmental protection. Every purchase of this kind helps to preserve our planet for future generations and protect natural cycles.
