It was a sunny summer's day in 1984 when Winfried Holler realised his dream and founded his own health food shop. His aim was to give people access to natural, healthy food. Back then, he still ran a small organic food shop in the old town of Buxtehude - just 35 square metres in size, but filled with a passion that went far beyond selling organic food. For Winfried Holler, Keimling Naturkost was more than just a shop right from the start - it is his life project, which he works on tirelessly to realise his vision of healthy, sustainable nutrition.
From a rolling health food shop to an industry pioneer
In the early years, Winfried Holler travelled through Buxtehude and the surrounding towns with his rolling organic shop to inspire people with natural foods and raw food. Step by step, he built up his company until he was able to move into a larger shop in 1987. But he remained restless - Keimling Naturkost was to become a pioneer for healthy and natural nutrition. In 1989 the time had come: Keimling Naturkost launched its mail order business and brought out its first customer catalogue. The company continued to expand in the following years: a branch was opened in Austria, keimling.fr went online and the product range was continuously expanded.

Today Keimling Naturkost offers a very extensive range of high-quality raw food products, superfoods and kitchen utensils. From sprouted rolled oats, hand-cracked cashews and fresh cold-pressed linseed oil to delicious dried fruit such as pineapple and kitchen appliances such as high-performance blenders, juicers and dehydrators - at Keimling Naturkost has the right product for everyone's individual needs. The carefully selected ingredients and gentle raw processing at 45 °C guarantee not only the preservation of the valuable ingredients, but also the unmistakable flavour. The products are carefully selected according to strict criteria to ensure that only the best is offered to customers. Particular attention is paid to organic cultivation, fair working conditions and environmentally friendly packaging. In addition to steady growth, Keimling Naturkost has always been characterised by innovation and a strong commitment to healthy eating. In 1996, the exclusive import of the Green Power juicer to Germany, Austria and Switzerland was launched. This was followed in 2006 by the introduction of raw food-based chocolate confectionery, a real bestseller. In addition, Keimling initiated the "Keimling Vitality Weeks", during which customers could take part in cookery courses and exercise programmes.
