Extra practical and sophisticated: The funnel design with the O-shape flap gate

The funnel inlet is particularly wide with a diameter of 82 mm. So much so that the ingredients usually don't need to be pre-cut. This saves time. What's more, nutrients and vitamins are fully preserved until they are pressed and are not destroyed by oxygen. For example, you can easily put several whole apples in a row into the Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer* EVO820 and enjoy your own freshly squeezed apple juice in no time at all.

The highlight, however, is the innovative O-shape flap gate. Flap gate means something like revolving door. This revolving door is located at the top of the funnel. The fruit passes through it into the juicing chamber. You open this door or flap by standing it upright and placing the fruit on the flap underneath. When you close the door, the flap underneath opens and releases the fruit into the funnel and the juicing chamber. In this way, one fruit is fed down after the other.

The door has a small diameter opening for vegetable stalks such as rhubarb, asparagus and celery stalks. When the hinged door flap is open, the way down is clear.

This flap gate enables the wide hopper opening - while at the same time ensuring maximum safety for children's hands.

Slow: This term characterises the speed of juicing. Centrifuges work at 10,000 or more revolutions per minute. They swirl a lot of oxygen into the juice, which damages many vitamins. Slow juicers or cold press juicers work at 110 revolutions or less per minute. They do not whirl in oxygen.
