Hemp as tea - prepare it yourself or brew it ready-made

CBD has been a popular dietary supplement option for some time now. Although hemp is not officially authorised as a dietary supplement, people have known about this natural product for thousands of years. As a CBD variant, hemp has the advantage that it does not produce a high, but simply unfolds its positive effects. In the form of a tea, you can enjoy the tangy, fresh flavour and a delicious aroma. We'll tell you how to enjoy CBD as a tea and what variations are available.
Ready-made CBD tea - simply brew and enjoy
The simplest option is a ready-made CBD tea, which you pour boiled water over. To do this, place the flowers in a cup or tea infuser and allow the water to cool to around 80 degrees. Then pour it over the leaves to enhance the flavour. Depending on the desired strength, the infusion time is between 3 and 15 minutes. After a quarter of an hour, the flavour becomes very bitter; the shorter the infusion, the milder it tastes.
Mixed with other varieties - for a fruity flavour
Just like green smoothies, tea is part of everyday life for health-conscious people. If you don't like the bitter flavour of CBD tea, you don't have to give it up. Replace half of the flowers with a fruity flavour, such as fruit or rosehip tea. The two flavours mix and make the tea easier to drink.
Please do not sweeten the tea with sugar, as this will take away the health-promoting effect of the tea. If you prefer something sweeter, use natural alternatives such as birch sugar, date syrup or maple syrup. Coconut blossom sugar is a very aromatic sweetener that gives your tea a Caribbean flavour.
Bake the flowers before preparing the tea - for a stronger effect
Sales of CBD are constantly on the rise. One of the reasons for this is its natural effect on body and mind. As hemp is a natural product, CBD is ideal for vegan and raw food diets, which expands the target group. In the form of a tea, CBD can be a tasty addition to your morning breakfast. To utilise the full power of CBD flowers, bake them in the oven before preparing the tea. Preheat the oven to 140 degrees and then place the flowers in it for ten minutes. This process converts CBDa into CBD, which has a much stronger effect. Then prepare the tea as usual, but leave it to infuse for at least 15 minutes.
Alternatively, place the CBD flowers in a pot with a little water and leave to simmer for around an hour. As the terpenes are volatile, add some fresh industrial hemp to the mixture afterwards. Pour the tea through a sieve and enjoy.
Caution: This mixture is bitter, as the long infusion time of the flowers releases their full flavour. Use one teaspoon of coconut blossom sugar per cup to dispel the bitter flavour. Alternatively, add a few hibiscus or raspberry leaves about 10 minutes before the end of the infusion time. This will give it a more fruity flavour and mask the bitterness.
