Grow your own fresh barley grass

Planting and harvesting your own barley grass is fun and the best way to ensure a balanced diet. Sprouts, herbs and grasses cannot be processed and prepared any fresher. Either sow directly in the garden or use our sprouting devices to help you: you can find them here in the shop under the category "Grow sprouts".

These organic sprouting seeds maintain their high organic quality thanks to the gentle cultivation methods that allow the plants to grow naturally. The organic sprouting seeds are grown organically. They are grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides and fungicides. After harvesting, they are not treated with preservatives, colourings or other artificial additives. Organic sprouted seeds are pure nature. From Italy.

  • All varieties are seed-resistant (no hybrids)
  • Production and cleaning takes place at 30°C

The barley grass produced from these seeds has very nutritious properties. After 2-3 days, these can be eaten as fresh sprouts, e.g. as a topping on salads etc. On the other hand, it can be used to grow young cereal grass, which is ready for harvesting in about 14 days and can be pressed into a flavourful, dark green juice. This juice is often part of numerous nutritional cures. But be careful: not every juicer is suitable for pressing cereal grass. Please contact us, we will be happy to advise you on this.

Sowing:

The seed for approx. Soak in water for 8-10 hours, then rinse and sow evenly, e.g. in a germination device. To obtain strong barley grass, transplant into soil and water daily until the barley grass has reached a height of approx. 20 cm.

How do I germinate the organic barley grass seed?
Growing barley grass is easy to do. You only need a few utensils to get the barley grass off to a good start. The most important thing for organic germinating seeds of barley grass is clean water. Firstly, take a portion of barley grass seeds from the container. Soak these seeds for a few hours in water at around 25°C. Once the seeds have soaked, pour off the water and allow everything to drain well. If you prefer to grow them in a pot or tray with potting compost, sprinkle the seeds in a single layer on the surface. After just a few days, the Keimlinge roots will form. Make sure that the soil substrate always contains a certain amount of basic moisture. Growing barley grass in the Freshlife sprouter is absolutely simple. The Freshlife sprouter does the work for you.
When can I harvest the organic sprouted barley grass?
Experts say that barley grass has reached the ideal height for harvesting when the concentration of vitalising ingredients is at its highest. The young plant reaches this enormous concentration at a growth height of 10 to about 15 cm. Using the plant at this stage is ideal for making a green smoothie or squeezing green grass juice. But young barley grass is also a great addition to a tasty salad.

Top Qualität, zuverlässiger Service

Die Gerstengrassamen sind schnell bei mir angekommen und zuverlässig verpackt worden. Die Qualität ist ausgesprochen gut, so habe ich nun schon nach wenigen Tagen meine ersten Gerstengras-Ernte schneiden können, wobei fast jeder Samen gesprossen ist.

Am Anfang gut

Es hat am Anfang alles gut geklappt.Jetzt wollte ich wieder Gerstengraspulver ziehen ,leider waren in der Dose alles Käfer. Die Dose war gut verschlossen und die Haltbarkeit ist bis 2018. Leider musste ich alles wegwerfen.

sehr gut

Habe ein fresh life Keimgerät was das ganze sehr erleichtert. Es sind so gut wie alle Samen aufgegangen und nach 10-12 Tagen habe ich perfektes Gerstengras geerntet.

Keimt leider kaum

Keimen leider sehr schlecht ... hatte mehrere verschiedene Versuche/Methoden. Wurden zurückgeschickt.

Gerstengras

Kann das Gerstengras vorläufig nur mit einem Stern bewerten, es keimt nämlich gar nicht. Bin mir nicht sicher ob i da einen Fehler mache. Probiere es aber weiterhin noch aus. Sollte sich etwas daran ändern werde i es selbstverständlich korrigieren. Wenn nicht gehts zurück.
