From travelling retailer to number 1 in Europe
Over 35 years ago, Winfried Holler made it his mission to offer nutrition-conscious people, especially raw foodists, a reliable shopping opportunity at fair prices. He got himself a bright red van and travelled around the weekly markets in the Altes Land region of northern Germany. Then as now, Winfried Holler's guiding principle was that real health and longevity can only be achieved through a diet of unprocessed and unheated natural products.
After a short time, more and more regular customers arrived, so Winfried Holler opened the Keimling natural food shop in the historic centre of Buxtehude. Word of the exceptional range and outstanding quality quickly spread throughout Germany. More and more people wrote or called and asked for the goods to be sent to them: Keimling Versand was born.
From the very beginning, the raw food concept characterised the entire product range of the Keimling range of products. On a trip to the USA in 1996, Winfried Holler discovered the Green Star juicer (then called Green Power) and recognised its enormous advantages over normal centrifugal juicers. Today Keimling Naturkost is Europe's leading address for gentle juicers, blenders and dehydrators, nutrient-rich green foods and untreated dried fruit in raw food quality.
Despite this enormous development, our founder Winfried Holler still personally stands for the uncompromising quality standards of the early years. This pays off, as he himself confirms:
