Crushed cereals (especially oats) are a breakfast classic and, together with other natural ingredients, provide a healthy start to the day.
However, commercial cereals are often heated to a high temperature in order to improve shelf life or remove any husks. It therefore makes a lot of sense to start producing your own cereal flakes.
Freshness is always a good argument and the big advantage for you is that the quantities can be kept small. This means that you only crush the flakes that you want to eat on the same day. This is because as soon as the grain is broken down by the crusher, oxidation processes begin and nutrients are lost.
It's great if, when planning to conjure up even more freshness in your breakfast bowl, you decide in favour of high-quality food and also want to implement this in the crusher.
Decades of quality
The Eschenfelder grain crusher combines unique quality, easy handling, useful adjustment options, quick cleaning and sustainable production. The squeezer was developed by company founder Frank Eschenfelder based on an idea by Christian Kuhtz and dates back to 1988. Since then there have been minimal adjustments, but otherwise the concept has proven itself and with this crusher anyone can prepare fresh and, above all, vibrant flakes themselves!
Not just oats
Another nice effect: the Eschenfelder also flakes spices, oilseeds and mock grains for you, i.e. products that are not available to buy. Cereals in their various forms naturally take centre stage. Cereals are mainly consumed in baked and cooked form. The crusher ensures that grains and seeds can be savoured in their raw, natural form with pleasure and bite. Spelt, wheat, rye, oats, barley, millet and quinoa as well as rice and buckwheat are real powerhouses with many hidden ingredients that are waiting to be released by the crusher.
The full nutrient content
And that brings us to the topic of fresh preparation and prompt consumption, which means that these valuable ingredients end up in your body and don't go to waste during storage. Vitamins, minerals, enzymes and trace elements, protein, fat and starch are nutrients that react more or less sensitively to oxidation and the effects of heat. With this squeezer, you can now save them from decay. When you buy conventional muesli products or rolled oats, even those from controlled organic cultivation, you receive products that have been processed and heated to preserve them or have already oxidised in the bag.
Freshly crushed foods provide you with the maximum amount of vital nutrients and thus form a robust basis for a healthy, raw and contemporary diet. The squeezing process begins to gently break down the nutrients.
Another advantage: flake-based treats are chewed more thoroughly than ground products and also stimulate intestinal peristalsis far more. Flakes are therefore also known as the "toothbrush of the gut". The consistency of the flakes makes them pleasant to chew and gives them a special flavour. And this flavour can also be adjusted in nuances using the two screw screws. This makes the flakes softer, flatter and changes their bite. By the way, multiple squeezing makes the flakes even finer, so this is yet another way to take control of the flaker's results in addition to the adjusting screws.

Kornquetsche fürs Leben
Die Kornquetsche ist ein niedliches Teil, ich habe sie mir irgendwie größer vorgestellt. Aber sie muss gar nicht groß sein, sie funktioniert perfekt. Für die Reinigung wird eine Zahnbürste mitgeliefert. Es macht richtig Spaß, ich habe Hafer und Buchweizen gequetscht. Tadelloses Ergebnis. Die Kornquetsche ist schön verarbeitet und sieht sehr stabil aus, ich denke sie wird ewig halten.
Korn-Quetsche
Ich habe große Freude mit der Korn-Quetsche. Robust, stabil und sieht edel aus. Endlich bin ich nicht mehr auf die gekauften Haferflocken angewiesen.
